The absolute worse!! I will never use HR Block ever again! Messed up my taxes and was a hassle to try to get fixed. Still waiting to hear back if they were even fixed and it’s almost been 2 months! Absolute worse place! If i could give zero stars I would. Beware if you work a hybrid schedule in Detroit! If Lauren Maniak is your tax preparer make sure you triple check what she says. Told me three times my hybrid days were put in and they weren’t. I put in multiple claims with corporate and the tax preparer stated that they spoke with me, knowing that they hadn’t to get the claims closed. This has been the worst experience ever and no one is trying to resolve the issue. Instead of calling me and let me know what was going on,I had to go up to the office to try to get some answers.

Had the pleasure of getting my taxes done by, I believe her name is Lauren, I know her last name is Maniak. She’s very knowledgeable, more than any tax person I’ve ever met. She was telling me about certain credits I qualified for, helping me get the max out of my return. Last year, I got around 3k, this year I got around 6k. I don’t know if it’s because of the credits , but I will definitely be going back to her! The one thing that sucks about H&R Block is how much they take. Hopefully the tax preparer gets a chunk of that money because they charged me around $500 to do my taxes. Mrs.Maniak is very professional though and I’m definitely happy with my choice in switching to H&R block. I wasn’t feeling that well that day and had my 2 yr old daughter with me. She was very patient , especially with the computers moving pretty slow. She took her time to explain everything she was doing and educate me on things I didn’t know or understand. Will definitely be returning next year to file with her! Fun fact; she said she has been certified to do taxes since the 90’s!
