Horrific customer service. I opened an account, then set up direct deposit and transferred money in through Venmo. Few hours later it said my account didn’t exist. I called customer service, they said they closed my account. I asked for a reason, they said they cant tell me over the phone, and to discuss with an in person representative. I did this, and they told me they knew nothing, could tell me nothing, and could not help me in any way. Horrible way to treat a new customer! I am very upset, and will sadly have to find a new bank. Currently missing out on over a thousand dollars and lost $30 in instant transfers expecting to be able to use the account. No respect, which is sad.

This bank is adequate. However, I use other banks that are superior in the features they offer. The loss of a drive through window to make deposits is a big detriment in my review. I also have issues with their phone app. I would not recommend this bank.

They close your account if you don’t use it more than once a month. If they close it, you won’t be able to get it reopened, so if you use this as a main card and your out of town you are S.O.L. Bc you don’t use it enough lol. Have fun opening a new account ever 2 months if you use this bank!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY.I recently purchased a home in the area, and my mortgage got sold to Citizens. I decided I should go and open an account so it would be easier to pay my mortgage. Upon speaking with someone there, I explained how I planned to do a lot of renovations for my new home. They offered me a Credit Card with a 0% for 15 or 18 month promotion. I happily accepted as this would help with my renovations. Come Aug 10th, I got charged a hefty interest fee, and the customer service rep told me that the card I applied to was 0% for 18 months for balance transfer only, which was different from what the lady at the bank told me, therefore it is my responsibility to pay the interest.I am young, and feel very taken advantage of. Yes I should've asked for a pamphlet with the fine details, but being a bank, I didn't think I should have had to. I would NOT have accepted if there was no promotional period. This is the reason why most people are joining Credit Unions now. These big banks take advantage of customers, especially when they are younger because they don't know exactly what to look out for.

Customer service horrible can’t get anyone one phone and multiple attempts with no resolution atm card not letting me remove money went talk with rep at Southgate site was not fixed called many times out on hold for he was yet RHS 30 minutes awful service

The worst bank I have ever dealt with in my 57 years of being on this Earth they are the worst horrible customer service in person horrible customer service on the phone and notice they don't even respond to the one-star readings it should be zero you have been forewarned

I am not happy with the Fort St location! We had an issue with my daughter's account, her app wasn't showing the correct information. We spoke with Carol Graham, who talked to us in a degrading manner after we explained to her what our issue was. She pulls up my daughter's account and says I can see the deposit was made. We said ok but it's not showing it on the app. She then says we've had trouble with the app lately but it has been corrected. Which we still couldn't see the deposit on the app. She then starts to question who I was?? Didn't matter as I was there with your customer, my daughter. This woman got a rude tone in her voice so we just walked out, as we could see we were not getting the help we needed.

Rush to get there before they close they move so slow I couldn’t get an additional transaction done because 4 PM hit. Pulled the blinds down before I can get a receipt at the drive-through window thanks ladies

Had a check sent to me through the FTC for wrong doing from a phone company years ago that charged illegal fees through a class action suit. The check issuer was through Citizens Bank for a whole 13 dollars. Since I didn't have an account they stated there would be a 7 dollar fee even when the check writer has an account with Citizens. Seems they have no principals except money for nothing .Many banks do not charge a fee if the check is written out of the banks account even if the receiver of the check has no account. Shame they represent themselves like this then try to explain it away in a comparative scenario. Was thinking about opening up an account with them, but legal theft example here just does not seem right and should not be a norm that should be accepted. So just because they can by law do it in Michigan should they bite that poison apple?
