They rented out a BROKEN tool! When we returned it, they claimed it was working but refused to show it workin in front of us. A complete joke and a huge waste of time!

Home Depot total scam ! Brandon W garden supervisor wouldn't accept return on there over priced pumpkin even though it was just purchased. No signage indicating they don't accept returns on pumpkins but charged me $11 for each pumpkin. No sku sticker. Was told they will rot, for $11 a piece they should carve them for you. Go to ALDIs ! Better price and quality. Only $3 and there actually nice pumpkins. Brandon isn't an asset to Home Depot by any means. Happy Halloween isn't a Home Depot thing apparently. Go anywhere else

Went to Home Depot (Southfield, MI) Tool Rental on Tue, Sept. 5, and plunked down $250 to reserve an aerator and trailer. When I arrived at 10a Fri, Sept. 8, to pick up the items, I was told they had been rented out to the guy standing in line before me. Didn't receive an apology, just an "Oh, Well." Complained to HD National Customer Care and was told the store manager would call me within an hour to address the problem. The national rep said she would call back later in the day to make sure issue was resolved. No calls back from either. Talked to an assistant store manager Fri afternoon who said the store was planning to issue a $150 store credit. I said $100 would be fine. But he never called me back on Sat. Have called and emailed national Customer Care repeatedly and keep getting the same story, that the complaint ie being investigated and escalated whatever that means. A Home Depot employee at another store told me the HD tool reservation program is deceptive. The employee's advide: don't use the reservation system. Show up early the day you need a tool and take your chances. Today, four days later, I finally got my $250 deposit back from my credit card company. Other Home Depot Tool Rentals in Metro Detroit are much more competently run.

I went into home depot to buy materials and they would not help us because they said there pro services was closed at 2:30pm. When i asked to speak to a manager they said they are in a meeting and won't be available for 2 hours ! They said to go shop somewhere else ! This is horrible costumer service , i wasted my whole day because she did not let me buy the materials ! The terrible employee's name is Britt

I see some bad reviews, but I have always had a great experience here. Rented a hedge trimmer, a drain snake/cleaner, and a carpet cleaner and each time I had attentive service and the equipment was in great shape. Southfield Home Depot is my favorite even though I also go to the one in Troy. Easy and convenient for me.

I came to pickup a wheelbarrow curbside today and for some reason did not realize that it would already be fully assembled. I have a small sedan and it would not fit into my car so Tim took off a portion of the bottom and was able to place it into my backseat. He could have just recommended coming back with a larger vehicle or processed a refund but instead, he went above and beyond to ensure I was able to take my purchase home same day. Thank you Tim - you are a blessing!

Usually I have great experiences at this location, however I've come I to this 2 days in a row for the same product that the store has on hand but thill is on the shelf. When speaking the associate in lumber about the primed 1x3 pine wood he told me he couldn't operate the hi-low so I asked him to contact his manager. I was told to hold tight and that someone would be over to get the product I needed down. I wait the associate come back after I've waited nearly 15 mins to tell me that his poor leadership told him had some call off. That had nothing to do with me as the customer considering I've travelled over 20 mins both ways twice for a product that the location has but can seem to get on the shelf for purchase. Completely dissatisfied because I'm in several of your locations multiple time a day sometimes. So I'll be back tomorrow at 6 am and I won't be so nice and btw I'll be contacting corporate!

Very disappointed in my delivery from Southfield location . It took almost two weeks for the delivery to get to my home.When I purchased the washing machine from the sales guy.They told me that they would take away my old washer and hook up the new one. I paid for the service but neither of these things were done. Delivery guy stated that he couldn't get the hose lose without breaking it. So he refused to complete the job. The old Washer was never installed or hauled away . I am very disappointed with my services. I tried to speak with a manager about the situation to get this resolved. She referred me back to customer service. Salesperson contacted the delivery company. They stated that it was against the code to remove a washer from the wall. Now mind you I wasn't told that at the time of purchase. I am highly upset that this was handled so unprofessional . I received poor service and never got the old washer removed or new one hooked up with the hose . Terrible

Went to Home Depot with my son on a Tuesday afternoon. Their parking lot in the store were pretty empty. Needed to get some keys made. Went to the key area, no one was there so I began to look for a worker. After about 10 minutes of searching couldn't find one so we went to the counter where they paged to have someone come and help us. After waiting 10 minutes we went to the other counter and had them paid someone to come and help us. Long story short no one came to help us, so I'm going to another store. If there's anything you need assistance with, do not go to the store. The workers are hard to find, and they are usually very unhelpful when you find them. This is the worst Home Depot store I've ever been to. Avoid like the plague.

Good store overall. I've found the nursery personnel helpful and friendly. Not the best floral selections but plenty. They don't have the same good things in stock as the Troy store, overall. Sometimes we have to go to Troy if SFLD is out. Convenient location and easy in & out.

I have been a Home Depot customer for over 20 years but something has slipped recently. The last 3 orders I placed have all been canceled by the store without explanation other than an indication that they would give me a refund in 5 days . . . and that they didn't have to process refunds sooner since that was their "policy". In effect money is tied up for nearly 2 weeks. When the prior order (which for some reason wasn't canceled) arrived the packages had been taped up so much they looked like they had been dragged behind the truck - the items were damaged to the point they weren't even recognizable and certainly not usable yet they expected me to accept them. Even a small delivery took 3 trucks and 2 days - and i would have been charged multiple delivery charges (which aren't insignificant) had I not refused to allow them to unload the last delivery. I can't recommend them any longer - and that is too bad really because it was very good at one time . . . but not at this time.

This place is poorly managed. From stocking, cleanliness, assistance...just all around a poorly ran establishment. Don't expect to find any help if you go there looking for it.
