The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center is a large, clean, and well-organized location in the Oak Park area. It receives lots of goods, from clothes and furniture to dishes and kitchen stuff. The staff is great and the people are great, with good prices and daily specials for those on a budget. While some items are a bit overpriced and you have to go digging through unsorted clothes, many find good buys. It is an active donation center, accepting donations Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 2pm, which many find convenient.

I go in and look around I see if I can find what I'm looking for if I can I get it if not I come out and I might go somewhere else.

I had to clear out my mother's condo after she passed and need to find a good donation spot. First of all, this is a large location. It's clean and sections are organized. They accept donations on Saturdays, which is really convenient. I feel confident that mom's belongings will find a good home.
