Rather then spending one more breath on this HORRIBLE company, I'll just post all of the notes from my experience. The icing on the cake was the fire extinguisher that went off inside of a box they packed, the scratches on my freshly refinished hardwood floors and the screaming voicemail JEFF STAR left for my husband. The packing services are A JOKE, the movers are buddies that are helping him out. This isn't a company it's a bunch of jerks that don't give ONE SINGLE S*** about any of your items.

Well have fun with this. Thay showed up at my house with 1 truck 3 men. I was supposed to have 2 trucks 4 men. They smashed my sisters car. Dented and walls also dented my table and BROKE my chair. The frustration is no one calls back. Mail box full and She Jackie said it 1.60 an LB NONO i want my chair replaced its like they threw it in the truck. Tvs were not hung like they sais and couches not put together. So have fun with that

Really appreciate the effort and time that Jeff, Matt and his team did for me during my moment of disaster. They came into a job that was not theirs originally and took care of everything. The friendly detail and explanations and listening to what I wanted to happen was very comforting. Appreciate the fact of the team using the booties and the runners to protect floors and carpets, highly recommended and if I need any assistance moving again this team will be the first ones I call.

I would not recommend Jeff and Jeff Star Movers. I was excited to see Jeff Star Movers initially. The day before moving Jeff called to move the time because they did not want to buy another truck to accommodated the time they offered and promised to me. That was not a huge deal. The day of the move, the mover Leonard, called to ask for the address and items he was moving. This information was spelled out in contract but I assume Jeff and his movers do not communicate. Midway through the way, I received a call to say that the footboard of my gorgeous bed was broken in the truck. Jeff texted me to say "this is how they had it on the truck, no shrink wrap or blankets or nothin smh nothing ever goes right when I'm not there". I sympathize with Jeff, as a local business owner, and I understand. Jeff mentioned how he would make sure it's fixed and so on. Maybe 20 minutes later, Jeff says that he's just going to give me a free move.. later he explained that I don't have to pay the remaining $250 that I owed, after paying the service fee/deposit. I replied to him with a question about it and he told me to have a good day. I just had one question. His attitude was very rude for no reason. He types back with a photo of his children by a bed and he says, "the wood is not real, they be selling people fake room sets". This was said to say that I should feel okay that my set was broken because the bedroom sets wood aren't real nowadays. HOWEVER, my bedroom set was not broken prior to them touching it, not shrink wrapping it or caring for it. All in all, Jeff was apologetic until he starting having an attitude. As a business owner, you should be apologetic and try to satisfy the customer's needs. Do not be rude to them or tell them that bedroom sets aren't reliable anymore. He sounded very aggressive and argumentative, I felt like he was trying to intimidate me in order not to file a claim or compensate me for the broken bed. I WOULD NOT recommend Jeff Star moving, based solely on his irresponsible movers, his bad attitude, and lack of awareness. I am of thinking of filling an insurance claim and I still have to spend a few hundred to buy a new bedroom set now.

I wish I could give more stars to Jeff Star Movers...LIKE 10 Stars!! I really appreciated that he was able to fit our moving request into his scheduled with less than 24 hours of contact. He communicated via text during the whole process from start to finish, as we prefer. I was very impressed with Jeff's courteous responses and professionalism when interacting with my mother and me. This was a very emotional time for us as we were moving the furniture (very heavy dining room table / grandfather clock) and other keepsakes that belonged to my grandparents/mom's parents from storage to a new location. Jeff and his female worker was sensitive to our emotional attachment and treated our items with care. Both individuals were polite, took their time to make sure our furniture and boxes was wrapped properly and they worked well, as a team. I really appreciated the kindness, humor and gentle speaking tone towards my mother/I as it has been hard for us to part with some of the sentimental items that was going to a new location. I would highly recommend Jeff Star Movers to any friend or person who wanted excellent customer service, fair pricing, hire female workers (love the equity/inclusion) and takes pride in ensuring good work is being done. Just recently we hired Jeff star mover for a 8 hour move. Let me tell you guys please stay away from this company!! He brought 3 guys with him and I had to stop them to tell them I did not want to proceed any further with my move. When I spoke with Jeff he spoke to me has he may have been irritated so trust me it wasn't the most pleasant conversation but I decided to give the young fella a try. He comes off as a professional but is very rude and has anger issues. Almost a hour during the move I asked them could we end cause the way things were being handled on the move. Back and forth bickering with his coworkers. An also animosity when talking to me. That's when I knew this must end now. So I decided to ask him to end the move. I payed him for a hour worth of labor. He yelled and shouted demanding he needs 50 percent of what he quoted me. After him yelling and screaming over the payment I told him I paid you for the hour you worked now im asking you to leave my property before I decide to call the police department. He insisted on staying saying he'll wait for them as he's yelling and threatening me. His we're telling him to lets just go but he says f#÷! That! Let him call! As I decided to call police he then grabbed his crew and proceeded to leave as he was still yelling and screaming. Very unprofessional business owner. Has a bad temper. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use his moving company. Totally bad experience. I moved in the past. Things could have been handled very differently despite his temper. Stay away from this guy and this moving company. Very rude person.

If I could give negative stars I would. First they tried cancelling our appointment last minute and said I had never confirmed, which I had and even have a text thread as proof. Then after I had put in a complaint for missing our confirmed appointment they agreed to accommodate at another time. Once they arrived they were very under prepared, having not even brought a dolly. After leaving for over an hour and returning they failed at their attempt to accomplish our moving task. They were complaining the entire time and yelling at each other while trying to move our cabinets at which point we had decided they were underprepared and unfit to accomplish our moving task without either getting hurt or damaging our furniture, so we dismissed them. In addition they were very rude and had wanted us to pay a fee for moving the cabinets from our garage to our front door. We hired them to move the cabinets up some stairs. I've never experienced a company that would encourage any sort of payment for incomplete tasks. Additionally, I was sent screenshots of invoices that they were paid from previous clients as some sort of proof that they are in fact deserving of any sort of payment for an incomplete job. I would not recommend or hire them again. Very unprofessional.

I hired Jeff Star movers last minute and was super nervous since I'd had bad experience in the past with movers being unreliable. They confirmed multiple times and called to let me know the morning of the move they were on the way. When the showed up, the movers themselves were very skinny but I found out they were strong, hardworking, and did a great job. It was probably 95 degrees outside and they kept a great attitude the whole day. Reasonably priced.

Jeff helped us clear out our family home last summer. My mother had recently downsized and we were ready to put the home on the market. Didn't know what we were doing with all the furniture so we hired Jeff to move it to storage. Jeff arrived on time, protected all the floors and started to dismantle the furniture. He managed to get some very heavy bedroom furniture down a narrow curved staircase without any scratches or damages. He was great to work with, flexible as our requirements changed and he texted throughout the weekend to make sure we were confirmed and ready. Would definitely use again.

Scheduled a move for 9:30 am on a Thursday. Jeff was a very good communicator as I checked in the day before to make sure we were set. Thursday morning he said it was raining so was going to take a 2 hour job in Toledo. Said he would be at my house at 1. Then said it would be between 4-4:30. Then 6. They started my moving job at 7pm. Seven! I'm giving them two stars because they did move a lot of stuff in the few hours they worked. Jeff is insisting he wasn't late but I highly disagree. I had to hire Juggernauts to come get the final load, last minute on Sunday. They showed up early

Jeff Star movers was a great experience. I loved how communicative Jeff was throughout the entire process and was very detailed about exactly what to expect on the day of, etc. The movers were friendly and we definitely laughed more than I would have thought normal for moving heavy things around. The movers actually ended up doing their research and taking a faster route to my new house and got there before I did which was really nice. I did have to minus one star because there were a few additional add on's in terms of price that I didn't really think were fair only because in my initial consultation I mentioned what floor I lived on. The invoice ended up being about $50 more than I thought it would- which isn't a lot but it ended up being more than another company had quoted me. It was a quick 3 hours but the extra fees did bum me out a little. I would definitely recommend using this service in the future. A great local company!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to hire and work with Jeff Star Movers. I was hesitant to try them because they didn't seem to have a ton of reviews but of those I read, they were all glowing (with the exception of one...but there is always one *eye roll*). My husband is a huge advocate of start-up companies and he wanted to give Jeff's company a try and I'm am so grateful we did! Jeff and his co-worker, Dante, were extremely easy to work with. They got to my place and started getting my furniture packed and loaded. Everything they touched was with extreme care and absolutely nothing was damaged - not any furniture, not any walls or doorways. I'd never used movers before so I was blown away at their efficiency, professionalism, speed, and great prices!!! They were both extremely polite and had great senses of humor and I'm so so so grateful for their assistance. Jeff was right there with Dante and there is nothing I love more than seeing the boss giving as much as his/her employees. They even made accommodations for items I hadn't planned in asking them take and offered to take items that we'd planned on taking later by ourselves. If I ever need to hire movers again, I will be calling on Jeff Star and I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!! I cannot say enough good things about this hardworking company!!
