STEER CLEAR OF THIS PREDATORY LENDER! Credit Acceptance is a corporation that is cut throat! I lost my job a year ago and have been struggling to make payments. First off, my car is a 2015 Toyota Corolla that has been in a car wreck. It has over 100,000 miles, I was charged over $30,000 in financing charges, the doors are broken, it’s dented, the trunk doesn’t open, the shocks are messing up my tires because they’re busted, and the electronic controls are missing. I have had to do so much work on the car to keep it operational, add that to not having a job, and you can understand why I am leaving this review. Today I got hired officially and will finally be able to make consistent payments. But Credit Acceptance decided to repossess the car. Not to mention, I JUST paid them $110 last Friday. Yes, I am behind, but I have been in communication with this company about how I have to keep fixing everything just to get the car working. I also have explained to them my job situation. They do not care! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, SPARE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND DO NOT GET A CAR LOAN WITH THIS COMPANY!

This company is here for one reason, to take advantage of people with poor credit . I (unfortunately) found myself in this situation and had to purchase a vehicle. I financed through them, set up The automatic payments at the dealer in April of 2023. The first payment is marked paid on time. However, for the last year and a half EVERY other (auto deduct) payment is marked as late! They will destroy your credit to ensure future business. I hope there is a class action suit brought against them in michigan soon . NY is already suing them for predatory lending. I hope the rest of the country follows.

This has to be the worst experience when getting a vehicle. They are money hungry and will lie so much about what's really going on. Be careful if going through with them.

This place keeps reporting to credit agencies that I have a missed past due amount that is not true. I have called multiple times and they tell me to file a dispute and when I do they deny it. Your credit will be ruined by them and they don't care at all. Next step is looking for a lawyer...

Trying to settle my account had a balance left of $160 and asked if we could pay the amount when we got paid at the end of the month and they said no it has to be by the 16th or you’ll have to start a new agreement over. No that’s not what we are gonna do. We are on disability and I’m dealing with severe medical issues. No understanding whatsoever just want money. We aren’t made of money.

I financed a truck 60 days ago, and the transmission went out. When I initiated the warranty, it has been over 2 weeks and still nothing has been done, yet they still expect me to pay monthly. I've made a payment for a month during which I haven't even used the truck, which seems very unprofessional to me. I asked for a free month or a discount because I'm not able to drive the truck, but they refused because I'm still financing the vehicle—yet I'm paying for a car I can't drive. They said they could offer a payment arrangement but there was extra steps even in that process also they would reimburse the money I spend on a rental, but I have to pay out of pocket first, gather all the information, and possibly get approved for reimbursement. I'm really ready to give up and return the truck, but I'm sticking through it in hopes that Credit Acceptance will improve their services. I have contacted several people around my town, and nobody wants to work with this protection plan because it doesn't pay what it should, and now I'm struggling with bills and other expenses. They just want the money. There are already other lawsuits against them. I would not recommend this company—please don't use their services! The reviews seem fake, while the complaints seem definitely real.UPDATE: I was able to find someone who worked on my truck and was able to find me a transmission in their price range ….. so it worked out thank God …. I should of read before signing but I guess the warranty played a big part in this so for that I am thankful they was able to provide what was needed and come down to me paying the deductible ?? so all in all I got what was needed it was not good at first but worked in my favor over month and a half I was not able to drive that truck and was never offered anything other then late payment options, but it got fixed by their warranty so I thank them!!!

Their " system has been down" since last week. I can't get ahold of anyone from the company. Had to put the vehicle i financed less than two months ago in the shop for major repairs. The dealership won't help with at least a rental, company won't reimburse rental costs. Overall has been a horrible experience. Do not recommend at all.

I financed a jeep from them , the jeep was $8000 on paper I put $3000 down . After getting my first payment I see I owed $15,000 which took me out .. that’s 18,000 I would be paying for a 8000 Jeep . The car has never worked and the head gasket has been blow since I got it the warranty company is worser then this company . I’ve recently gave the Jeep back because I don’t care about a repossessed vehicle on my credit I can buy cars in full was just doing it to boost my credit ended up messing myself up in the end don’t finance through these people . Beware .

Well the saga continues and CREDIT ACCEPTANCE GETS WORSE BY THE DAY! The incompetent customer service rep that started this over a month ago has caused me so much of a headache. Spoke to a supervisor on 9/4 who assured me my refund check they owe me would BE PUT RIGHT INTO THE MAIL. Well that was weeks ago and tonight I called and the incompetent "supervisor" never even initiated the request. These reviews are going EVERYWHERE THAT I CAN POSSIBLY FIND TO PUT ONE. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE NO MATTER HOW BAD YOU THINK YOUR SITUATION IS. I got 4 refinance offers while I was waiting on hold to Find out they never did what they said they were going to do once again. Just a garbage company. Complete garbage with ABSOLUTELY NO INTEGRITY WHATSOEVER.

Bought my van a year ago and financed through Credit Acceptance. Transmission went in July so I called to see if I could defer one payment, was told that they don't do that. Ok,so take me off auto-pay and I'll just be late with the payment. No problem sir, the day after payment was due,the endless phone calls,e-mails, and text messages started. Made payment a week late,so late fee and $9.95 fee to pay with associate. Told them to put me back on auto-pay and somehow my due date was changed by them. So here I sit again having another late fee and $9.95 to pay over the phone. I will never do business with this company again. They are money hungry predators.

The worst bank I have ever known, they have charged me 3 times for the car they financed and they also stole the money my insurance paid them and they don't want to respond with anything!
