Normally it's no fun getting an oil change
However, the team at Victory Lane in South Lyon were very professional and friendly. It took no time at all to drive away with my oil changed. I will definitely be a return customer.

I brought in a new to me car for an oil change, and let them know to update my account. I told them it was a 2017, but the employee asked me if I was sure, saying it looked newer than that. I said yep, its a 2017. Worker again said that can't be right, and waited to update my account until another mechanic looked under the hood and told him it was a 2017.
I'd understand if he were joking around, but he was serious about it, and it's not the first time I've been talked down to there. They also tried to talk me out of the oil change after driving over 6,000 miles on it, and did not top off my fluids/tire pressure even though it was on the invoice.
Alternatively, I went to the Farmington Hills location today for an oil change, and the gentleman there was AWESOME. I will not be back to the South Lyon location.

Just had my oil changed at Victor Lane South Lyon. Something has definitely changed. I dealt with a Gentleman named Max. He seemed to be very agitated and eas not giving me the feeling that I wanted to come back again. He was acting very agitated against his fellow coworkers. I could watch one of the co-workers trying to get my air cleaner out prying and pulling on the lid and never did succeed to remove the air cleaner. When Max came by and seen the lid was was partially open. He decided that maybe he should use his fist to pound the lid down. Then get it snapped. That does not make me happy. Twice they ran their stool in my front bumper on my truck. Hard enough where I could feel it inside the truck. They never checked the lights on my truck or checked tire pressure. The one thing that I asked Max not to do when I first pulled in was not to fill my Windshow washer solvent. The first thing the technician tried to do was put windshield washer solvent in my truck. Probably because the only thing Max did was grunt at me when I told him I did not want it filled. The stores not only selling oil. Its selling service. And at the cost of $220.00 for oil change , they did not sell service. I wasn't even told how much the oil was going to cost until After I had given Max my credit card. I trust the store to take care of my wife's truck also. So next time if this hasn't changed you'll be losing two customers not just one.

Really lovely service today! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel really comfortable with their level of service and professionalism. Thank you for a great experience! Other oil change places give me anxiety from their pushy salesmen and big upselling, but these guys make me feel really comfortable.

I was lured to stop into this store advertising a full synthetic oil change for $69.99 after rebate. I attempted to clarify with the tech how the rebate worked and was told I’d receive an email with a gift card usable at any business, Amazon, etc.
So far I paid $107.95 plus a $3 service fee for paying with a credit card. I was directed to scan a QR code and complete the steps to apply for a rebate including a copy of the invoice. I attempted to do this in the service bay and the rebate system repeatedly hung up without completion. The tech directed me to call a number in the fine print if it couldn’t be submitted successfully. I tried repeatedly after leaving to submit without success and then called the number sat on hold for 15 minutes before finally speaking with an agent. What a waste of time and apparently known by the staff at Victory Lane. I very rarely submit negative reviews but wanted to warn other customers about the misleading price advertised and the unreasonable steps required to even apply for the rebate.
Update July 2024: This past week the skid plate on my Ford Escape came loose while traveling on I-96 in heavy traffic, obviously improperly secured during the referenced oil change above which is the last place the car was worked on. I had to cut away a damaged section of the skid plate as it couldn't be reattached. I won’t be revisiting this facility anytime soon,
