They installed our original RO water system years ago. They charge $93 + filter cost for maintenance, because the unit they install is purposely complex. I 100% believe they install the old complex type so they can charge for "maintenance". Their service is unreliable on top of that.
I swapped out the system they installed in favor of a "Waterdrop" brand RO. The newer system wastes 50% less water, costs $92 for 2 years worth of filters, and it takes 30 seconds to change the filters yourself. Do your research - getting a new RO system pays for itself vs. continuing with these guys and their nonsense maintenance prices. Oh, and I had the water tested before / after - the new system produces equivalent quality.
Their potassium chloride prices are higher than everyplace else I got quotes from too. The system they installed still works fine, but I wouldn't source any supplies from them.

They actually answer the phone! Very professional from Sales to Installation. Another leading company quoted us $5800 to replace our water softener that had suddenly failed, we were actively getting orange water through our faucets, toilets, and showers and needed help fast before permanent damage was done. Our budget would not support $5800, and State Soft Water came through with the option of a 2-year lease with option to buy at the 6-month mark. This solved the immediate problem of orange water while staying within our current budget. Thank you!

Had their service since 2015. Was good and cost effective back then. These days, it's a 50/50 shot if they'll show up to a service appointment in a given 4 hour window. It almost always takes two attempts. I've had hard water for close to a year. Finally got a service guy out after a painful process and apparently to get a softener that functions, that will double the monthly charge. So I don't think I'll make another service call moving forward. I'm starting to shop around.
Edit: Don't buy their response. The cancelled appointments State Soft refers to are the ones I waited around for and had no one show up to.

I just had a reverse osmosis system installed by State Soft Water. They came out and explained everything about how the system works and what the process for installation would be. They provided a detailed estimate and completed the work as quoted in a timely manner. Ryan took great care during the installation and left no mess behind. The water tastes great and doing business with State Soft Water was a pleasure from start to finish.

Ryan is as professional and full service as it gets. We have very high tds in our well water. State Soft Water system cleans up the impurities and gives us great clean water.

Kellie in the office was the first to Thank, she was very thorough and knowledgeable. She sent out Jeff to determine what was wrong with my water softener system. He was very knowledgeable in his trade. I’m glad I called them. He solved the issue in a short time and a very reasonable price.

I called State Soft Water in South Lyon for a 2nd opinion on my water softener that had quit working. A previous company told me it was not worth fixing and gave me a bid of $3800.00 for a new system. Nancy came. out and tested my water and looked at the softener and said she believed that they could take care of me. They made an appointment to have John come out and perform the repairs. He did a great job and it was about a 1/4 of what the other company was going to charge for the repair if I chose to repair. They still pushed a new unit. John also took the time to go through the system with me and show me what to do to have it ready to go again. I appreciate them so much and highly recommend them.
