Just had our cat spayed. Been coming regularly for our dog and always felt like the service and care was top notch. If you’re getting an animal fixed opt in for the laser it’s worth it! Such a clean incision and no stitches, my cat has been doing great and not bothering the surgery site. Highly recommend them for spay/neuter. Sure you pay a higher price but I couldn’t get an appointment booked with any humane society for months.

I love this vet. The office is clean and well managed. Friendly faces greet you and your pet. They only schedule as many pets as they can handle so the waiting room is never crowded Dr. Henderson is very kind.

Took in 3 baby rats today. Received meds for them. I'm supposed to medicate them each close to .3mL 2x/ day for 14 days. The total mL med volume is labeled .30mL (which is .3!) but the bottle somehow contains 1.5mL total. Not even enough to do twice for one day.I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time. It's an hour drive one way. I paid over $100 and didn't even get enough medicine for their prescribed treatment.

For several months I thought about trying another veterinarian for my almost 12 year old dog. When we went to Lyon Veterinary Clinic, we were greeted by a friendly staff, didn't have to wait long, and when the doctor came into the room, she listened to my concerns and gave him the necessary shots and heartworm pills. She was efficient and knowledgable and I will continue to take my dog there.

I LOVE this place! After visiting just about every vet in an hour radius from here, I can confidently say this is by far the best veterinary clinic out there. My dog Maya has had every medical condition possible, from seizures, to tumors, skin issues, etc. So it has been a hassle trying to find the best fit for her medically but also financially on my end. Animal care is not cheap to say the least! Here at Lyon Veterinary Clinic, they actually make the already "not so fun" visits smooth and enjoyable! The front staff seem to truly enjoy what they do because they are very kind and helpful from the moment you walk in, to the end of the visit. The vets are very knowledgeable; great at communicating the issues and ultimately the plans to resolve them. The team as a whole does not seem to be too over loaded, which unfortunately can be the case with some vet clinic's (and typically leads to stressed employees and patients not receiving the proper care that is needed, not fun for anyone involved). This Lyon Vet Clinic is clean, organized, and not difficult to contact over the phone if you need to schedule an appointment or have any further questions. 10/10!I usually do not write reviews, good or bad, but I had to take the time to relay my gratitude after countless "not so great" past experiences from various vet clinics in Michigan.I have recommended this place to friends/family and will continue to go here.Thank you all for everything you do! :)

My dog contracted an ear infection, when I called to have her looked at I was told they could see her in a week, what, she has an ear infection and can't wait a week to be seen. Was told I could come in later that day using an emergency time slot, but would be charged an extra fee of $25. Why? Oh, the staff works hard during the day and it's a way to pay them a little extra for their hard work. I'm sorry, but if my dog is sick, the bill will be high enough as it is, let alone being charged a penalty. I go to a vet for two reasons, one is to keep my pet healthy, the other is if my pet is sick. To me, the combination of the two is why a vet is in business to begin with. I can plan well checkups, but I cannot plan when my pet becomes sick and needs to be seen. That $25 fee is uncalled for, and reason enough for me to go elsewhere for my dog's care. In fairness, the fee was waived when I complained, but what about next time? And how many clients have paid it because that's just the way it is? In response to Dr. Ferguson's reply to my review, if you can't be there for me when my dog is sick, without charging an extra $25 on your normal $60 office visit fee, then I don't need to be there. Thank you.

I took my dog in during COVID where I couldn't go in with him. My whole purpose was to have a lump checked out on his leg. He needed a rabies shot before we could take him in. So I scheduled a rabies shot for him so he could have his lump checked out. They told me it was just fatty tissue. Come to find out a year later it was cancer they never checked it they never aspirated it they just palpated it with their hands and told me he was fine. When I found out it was cancer the vet I took him to said that it was from his lump on his leg it could have been taken off and he could have been cancer-free but instead I lost my best friend. I didn't even want to give you a one star and then today I get a happy birthday to my dead dog from them brings back all the sadness of losing him. I would never recommend you as a vet ever! I should have put this on here a long time ago I may have saved more animals. I have been reading the other reviews and it doesn't sound like I'm alone and how I feel about this veterinary clinic.

When we moved to the area, we had to find a new vet for our dogs. Lyon Vet came highly recommended. I am happy with the care of the vet and staff. I only wish that they had later hours.

Love this place. I have a poorly behaved dog, doubly so when he isn't feeling well. He has to be muzzled and they still do a great job with his care. They even let me hand him off outside to a vet assistant when Ive had to bring my two small children with me and am unable to handle a nervous dog and two kids under 3.

Excellent vet. They take their time with you and your pet. Woke up with a concern with one of my dogs, and they were able to see us immediately. Very reasonably priced.

Nice and knowledgeable people, but my experience(especially when compared to other local vets) with them is that if there is a way to try and charge you for something that isn't necessary, they will find it.**In response to your note from this morning, it was not recommended to me for my consideration. It was either take blood twice a year or else I can't get my cat's necessary medicine. The vet I was at before Lyon Veterinary and the one I now go to said that Bo is healthy and bloodwork is fine to be done annually unless I notice a change in him(which I of course closely monitor).
