If i could give 0 i would. It is not your job as a pharmacist to be a horrible human being, get a different job if you're so miserable. Bad people, bad customer service and the tall male pharmacist smells bad

Somehow checking out 2 people takes over 30 mins. I get faster service at the Secretary of State office.

I'm surprised this place hasn't killed anybody. Word to the wise, ask your doctor the specific amount of drugs you're supposed to be receiving, and then call your insurance company and see what the price is if you choose to use this place. I have had more than a handful of incidents at this place that proved incompetence in the pharmacy. One of my kids had medication that the price just seemed to continuously go up every time I picked it up. I figured it was probably poor insurance coverage(and it most likely was, but now I question if they ripped me off). My other child has diabetes and is insulin dependent. I had several experiences where they tried to charge me incorrect copays(once they tried to charge me $1,200 for something that didn't have a copay.) I would call them up, give them insurance information over the phone, told that "it's taken care of" just to go up there and find out that it wasn't "taken care of". When I started bringing this up, they kept trying to convince me it was my insurance(it wasn't, they just didn't put the information in like they said they did). This happened a few times by different employees so it wasn't just one bad egg. EVERY time I had a problem, they tried to convince me it was either insurance or the doctor in an effort to avoid admitting incompetence. Prescriptions would get sent over and they wouldn't fill the entire prescription. The last straw was when they tried to deny my child's insulin(now we have a potential medical emergency in the works). I informed the pharmacy that the error is most likely on their end as it consistently has been in the past, just for them to, once again, blame either my insurance or the doctors. Spoiler alert - it wasn't insurance or the doctors. WHAT THEY DID WAS BILL MY INSURANCE COMPANY FOR THE FULL PRESCRIPTION AND SHORTCHANGE ME HALF OF THE PRESCRIPTION. Had I waited 2 days, I would have never found this out. They clearly DO NOT know how to bill insurance correctly(which means you are probably paying the incorrect $ amount for medication), and from my experience, chose to disregard reading skills and paying attention to detail as qualifications to the job. Now they can simply claim this was a mistake(and they finally did so and gave me the other half "off the books), however, my child has 2 types of insulin, a "slow release" and one to use with every meal. They had no problem give me about a years worth of "slow release" insulin in a couple of months, but then tried to convince me that we went through the other insulin too quickly. I have seen A LOT of older people come in here, and I wonder just how many of them that they may have ripped off throughout the years or if they denied them medication also. Had I not sought out information(multiple hours on the phone over time) and stood my ground, I would have just assumed my insurance wasn't that good. The ERROR was on their end, EVERY SINGLE TIME. Between not knowing how to bill my insurance correctly, not giving me correct amount of medication, the amount of misinformation they handed out, and the overconfidence that they are never wrong, I wouldn't trust them to give me Aspirin at this point.

CVS Store #8066 is most definitely the jewel of the South Lyon, Michigan CVS locations. Kyle, Gareth, Pam, Juanita, Nathan, Ray, & Olivia ALL provide exceptional customer service. All are very courteous, helpful, kind, and go well above & beyond of what’s expected of them when it comes to taking care of their customers. If it (customer service) were a sport they would be World Champions. I’ve been a proud customer of that particular CVS location for 18 years now and I hope to be coming there for at least another 18 years. Keep up the great work and thanks again for everything CVS #8066!!!

No matter who you work with at this pharmacy, they question you for the meds your doctor prescribes for your cancer. Not for safety but almost like it’s a challenge to just get a script when you don’t even want to be taking anything in the first place. The biggest complaint is that no matter when you call, you will never get through. I usually give up at the 10min mark. I’ve tried an insane amount of times given I don’t want to drive up there if my medications are not ready or available yet every single time from July 2023-September 2023….this is what happens. CVS has gone down hill big time. Especially this location. All staff are miserable and it shows in their ability to care for others.

Maybe I should have followed the reviews. Came through the drive thru to pick up some medication and the pharmacy staff were way beyond rude (and aggressive). They even had the audacity to ask why I wasn't in the store to pick up what I needed. Perhaps retraining is needed for the staff. I'll just go to the 10 mile one, they're better anyways.

The pharmacy staff is unprofessional, rude, lazy, and demonstrates a total lack of any type of customer service. Will never go back.

The employees here are great. I needed a passport photo for my toddler, the guy hadn’t done it before but quickly went over and checked me out quickly and efficiently! Definitely recommend this location :)

I will never go here again, I just had a hip replacement. Dr calls in prescription on Friday morning only to be informed they are out if stock until Tuesday. I'm in extreme pain, oh thats not all. I have gotten my prescription with my name on it in my bag get home open bag and its someone else's medication. Been shorted pills several times so when I'd need them my insurance would not pay for them because its to soon. No they shorted me pills I had to go without. Or here's a good one get your medication take out a pill get ready to take it. Its the wrong medication could of killed me it was a heart pill. I don't have heart problems. There very rude, and nasty. 5 people standing there and you stand at counter noone will help you. I'm never going to this CVS ever again. And you shouldn't either. Watch all the medication you get that its one you take. Especially elderly people.

9 out of 10 times I pick up a prescription staff is rude and unpleasant. I have heard this from several people.

Worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I have to wait over 30 minutes for prescriptions even after they say to come back at a specific time to pick up. The drive through pharmacy is a waste of time because the staff will walk right past the window to take everyone who gets in line in the store ahead of you. Very rude pharmacist and techs.

Had a very poor experience calling to check on the status of a prescription. He was rude from the start of the conversation so I finally told him I was calling based off of what the doctor told me and he didn’t need to be so rude. He then hung up on me. He must have had a bad day before speaking to me because our conversation definitely didn’t warrant hanging up on a customer.

Not shocked there’s only a 2.5 star rating at this location. This review is based off the interaction I had with the evening manager, in the pharmacy. She was very rude, unprofessional, and had no common sense whatsoever… She was surprised by my reaction due to her lack of incompetence. Prior to my arrival, I called and received confirmation that my sons prescription was ready for pick-up at 7:45. I arrived at the drive-thru window at 7:55 (they close at 8:00). After I pushed the call button, she told me to wait, by holding up her index finger. By the time she came to the window, after I beeped my horn, she told me the pharmacy was closed and refused to give me my sons prescription. (Keep in mind, I drive an F-150, so I had a perfect view of them playing on their phones and chatting with one another, while I waited patiently for 10 minutes. As she could see me too, and chose to ignore me). At this point I was upset, and felt the need to tell her what I thought of her customer service and communication skills, and drove away. Several minutes later, I received a phone call from a South Lyon police officer, who wanted to address the situation. He also informed me that, the rude, incompetent manager, banned me permanently from this CVS location. Which is fine; I had no intentions on returning anyways. Needless to say, considering this was not a true emergency situation, nobody was hurt nor threatened, the officer and I shared a good laugh.

We made appointments for our flu shots at the CVS on Pontiac Trail and 9 Miles Rds in South Lyon Michigan. Mine was for 3:00 PM and my husband's was for 3:30 PM. We arrived separately, both on time. I was kept waiting for 20 minutes while a large group of people who also had appointments came after me said that their appointments were at 3 and 4 and they hoped they could all be taken together. My husband walked in on time, was told there were 6 people ahead of him and he would have to wait, and he declined and left. What is the point of having appointments if CVS doesn't abide by them?
