My daughter and I really liked shopping here over the weekend. We bought a few things and we really like them. They have a nice variety of items. I would recommend this place for cute gifts for sure!!

A while back I had gone to this store and found a black bench that the owner said she would hold for me. I said I needed to go get my purse as I was just out walking downtown South Haven and didn't have money on me. She said she would hold it for 15 minutes. I RAN all the way back to get the funds and then RAN back to the store in less than the 15 minutes as I was timing myself. It was close but I was under the "allotted" time. As I entered the store huffing and puffing and stopped to catch my breath I realized she was in the process of allowing her employee to ring up the item she promised to hold for me. Oddly enough once I stepped back into the store the transaction was disrupted by the card not going through (GOD was at work here). She could have stopped the purchase then but proceeded to have it processed by the employee who was shaking and nervous a bit knowing exactly what was going on as she was present during our conversation. This time it went through and she looked at me and she said oh sorry it was just sold.So this gives you an idea of the type of person that was running this store at that time. Never bought another item at Shooting Star.

Very nice shop and very relaxed atmosphere. We were greeted as soon as we walked it. They had a nice selection of gifts and decor items. Prices weren't bad either.

This shop is so much cooler inside than it looks. It has very cool vintage postcards, wall art, books, some clothes, and more! I loved the postcard selection and random Michigan stickers. A very fun store to walk around in, plus the lady at the counter was super nice. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is off the main drag of Phoenix St, but nonetheless worth the walk of a few blocks. Phoenix St is filled with useless, touristy merchandise, but you won't find that at Shooting Star. They've got cool stuff. Much of it is local artists, and you'll find a different air in the store. It's laid back, and you won't see a blueberry in sight. I got a very unique necklace and some great cards, which you won't find in the store after store on Phoenix with essentially the same merchandise. They also have reconditioned/restored furniture which is really cool.
