Got my deer all my meat is filled with hair and dirt like they dropped it on the floor and packaged it I have way to many backstraps for 1 deer I have no roast or anything just backstraps and steaks and some burger called to ask about it and the lady I spoke with was very rude won't get my business again

I have taken cattle there a couple of times . Great cuts, good kill rate. Some people do not understand that the butcher is not responsibleFor the hanging weight of the cow.If you are “Light” on your processed meat .. that means the steer or cow was light to begin with. Stuff happens . Maybe the cow was finished out and ready for slaughter , but not a lot of actual meat on it . More fat . The people running this business are very honest . Buy from and take your cattle there for processing with confidence!

DONT TAKE YOUR COWS TO. "OUTBACK CUSTOM MEATS IN SNOVER!!!!!!". THIS PLACE IS NOTED FOR TAKING MEAT!! LOTS OF BAD REVIEWS ON THIS. THEY HAVE A CUTE COUNTRY STORE WITH AN ENTIRE WALL OF FREEZERS FULL OF MEAT FOR SALE. WHICH IN REVIEWS IS ALL THE RAGE. BUT THEY'RE FILLING IT WITH MEAT FROM THEIR BEEF CUSTOMERS!!! We buy a quarter every year and this is the first year our beef was taken here. The quarter was 17# lighter than last year. 5% less. I picked up the beef and immediately knew it was short so with no paperwork from them I weighed everything and compared it to prior years. I am an inch short on tbone and porterhouse while sirloin was over 5# more. Junk steak for my premium steaks. My roasts were 10# light and my burger was 20# light while my stew meat, short ribs and brisket was way over. Junk meat for premium meat!!! I've talked to others that this just happened to. When I called to find out why the lady said "IT IS WHAT IT IS". SO THE NEXT TIME YOU GO THERE AND BUY MEAT FROM THEIR COUNTRY STORE JUST THINK OF THE PEOPLE WHO PAID THE FARMER FOR THAT MEAT AND PAID THEM TO PROCESS IT AND GOT JUNK MEAT INSTEAD OF THAT STEAK,ROAST AND BURGER YOU'RE EATING!!! THEY ARE CROOKS!!!!

The name doesn’t truly say what awesome Amish/Mennonite baked goods, dry goods, grocery items, homemade potato salad, their brisket dip (creamy dip with brisket and a slight spicy seasoning - totally worth the trip!) great on crackers or bagels; cheeses of every type, all types of ready to cook meats, brats, steaks, ribs, chicken some pre-cooked some not - fun trip from Port Austin/Port Crescent State Park (about 45 min) - Highly Recommend!

Quick turnaround on butchering my son's deer. Nice packaging job. Also great selection of frozen meats. Very good selection of bratwurst, all are delicious.Update - 3/26: still a good place with a great selection of meats, seafood, cheeses, and homemade candies
