Last two times I have been in here cashiers have been in slow motion acting like they hate their jobs Today white haired cashier moving x-tra slow putting some items in paper bags and some in plastic I did not ask for this She even scolded me for moving my bread from my bag in basket to child seat after I paid for it, said it needed to have red paid tag on it. All this while line is backing up. All this was done with biggest scowl on her face. Have been coming here for years going downhill!

Catering service was phenomenal! We ordered catering service for 50 four days in advance and were so impressed with how easy it was to order and pick up, and with the quality of the food. Would absolutely order from them again or recommend to others!

Great Market, They have by far the best Gourmet food counter anywhere in the Great Lakes State. Also their Bakery & Deli Departments are top notch.

Love this place. Amazed at the fresh salads and deli counters. Always stock up when we visit. Workers have been very helpful and customers willing to give recommendations. Expect LONG lines during the holidays, they move quickly since registers are fully staffed. Great place.

It’s sad to give the finest market in Michigan with the freshest and highest quality products in every department with the best BACK OF THE HOUSE service hands-down a 1 star! I know all the gentlemen in produce, all the ladies in the fruit and salad cooler area, the ladies in the prepared foods and bakery, haven’t had an issue with anybody, always the best service, and they all know me, I’m there every Saturday morning religiously, sometimes another morning throughout the week! The bone I have to pick is with the ladies at the front end, the worst in the business, hands down! They’re so purposely mean and salty, It is almost purposely done to lose the customers of this family owned business! I have come upfront with my items so so many times and there are ladies I refuse to go to, and it doesn’t matter, whichever one I go to, I purposely go up there with a smile and ready to be extra nice as a test, and I get treated worse and worse every time and I call them out, I never leave pleased! I was there this past Saturday and I told the lady as I was checking out to relax don’t bemean I didn’t say anything wrong to you and then she changed her script cause she realized I was on point! I’ll never stop coming to this market because it’s so good, but the front end is a total cancer!

Vince and Joe's seem to be having issues as of late. The Gourmet market has gourmet prices, but the quality is sub par. In the last year I have gotten bad filets, seafood, moldy bread and cheese, all items were spoiled or moldy when my groceries were unpacked or within a day or two with the bread. Be very careful when shopping there, check all dates and thoroughly inspect all packages. For the elevated prices, the quality should be much better. It breaks me to write this review after shopping here over 15 years.

So for the 1st time in 27 years I did not cook Thankgiving dinner( I was supposed to have surgery) so I ordered the Thankgiving dinner from you...OMG ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I may never cook again.I was able to spend time visiting with my family and pick it up hot ..just had to go home and put on the table! You have a great thing here! The woman with the broken English who answers the phone needs to be replaced. She did not take our order down and when asked to get someone else she argued with us that everything was fine. Turns out we were correct and she did not put in our order. Thanksgiving orders are important, if she can't pay attention and Vince and Joes doesn't care enough to take her off the phones then people should go elsewhere with owners that care. O

I went in the store today to purchase some groceries. I proceeded to the first register and as the cashier was ringing up my groceries and bagging them, I was reaching for my bags to put into my cart when she rudely told me to keep my hands away from her face and rudely said “do you understand personal space?” I was appalled. I have never had anyone treat me so rudely. Obviously customer service is not her main priority. I have shopped here since the store opened and have never been so upset upon leaving. I did stop at the customer service desk and voice my concern. Totally unacceptable behavior towards a customer. This is the Shelby Twp store that I patronized today

We now live in Traverse City & always make a stop at V&Js when we’re back in town. Miss this place like crazy!!!! Their prepared food is delicious! Everything is fresh in this store. Try it & you’ll never go anywhere else.

On 9/22/23 I purchased 2 whole chickens for $3.99 and three 4 piece chicken legs for $1.99. I was charged $3.99 for all of the chicken. Called and spoke to Diane, seemed to be no problem. Returned the next day for my refund. I took the 3 containers for the $1.99 chicken and my receipt (should have been no problem). These chickens were reduced , did not scan, had to be hand rung. Diane and a cashier couldn't understand how these were rung up wrong if the didn't scan .HUMAN ERROR EXISTS! Diane then expected me to wait while she got a manager. I finally left, WITHOUT THE MONEY OWED ME. SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SIMPLE TRANSACTION. VERY UPSETTING. BEWARE, make sure you watch all items being rung up. If you want a refund, even with proof, you probably won't get it.

I took my aunt and grandson to grab a bite here. It is a very large grocery store with a plethora of gourmet foods. We grabbed items from the deli and pizzeria. The pizzas are hand tossed and there was a thick dough version. I got my aunt the eggplant Rolatini which she loved. I had sushi and a slice of cheese pizza and my grandbaby had pizza! We shared the tiramisu. It was dry and had too much oily icing. There was no coffee liquor in it, disappointing for an Italian bakery. I got the "peach" dessert, equally an Italian favorite and it was delicious. We didn't shop, but it warrants a revisit.

It is a shame because they have great products but the prices are high, they have had Trump rallies in the parking lot, all the TVs play Fox News 24/7, and the cashiers give lectures about how evil democrats are. I don't care what an idiot behind the register thinks with barely a high school education. I was excited about this place, but I'd rather drive down the street to Kroger and Meijers for politically neutral grocery stores.
