I have a husky who is very vocal, he always goes to pet smart and they always take care of him, today he came home traumatized, his butt fur was hardly trimmed and he was upset all day. Idk what they did to him: but he never comes up this angry, we always go to pet smart and never have an issue with our rescue . Tonight we did. He's been abused and he came home upset. I don't think he was treated with love do not come here if you have a rescue

Trainer was very polite. Definetely helped with training a dog who would always jump on people and tug on her leash.

Twice I have ordered online for pick-up at the store, and both times the associates pulled the wrong items from the shelf. The second time the associated had the nerve to argue with me as to which was the dog food I had ordered and what they tried to sell me. They do not read the bags to assure they match the order. Not going to be three times the charm for me, twice and I am done driving there to leave with nothing. They do not know their products and think if something in a similar bag and same photo of a dog it is the right item. Apparently they don't read what the purchase order says. Do not trust that you will receive the items you ordered.

I give the location a three only because the workers there (Elizabeth) was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to information about the glo betta fish I was purchasing. Unfortunately right away I noticed the Betta was not moving as much and her water had been dirty .I still gave her a chance and followed the proper steps to put her in the tank. She stayed on the corner at the top the whole time plus her find were ripping . They need to do a better job with the bettas as far as cleanliness.

I want to thank the guy who trimmed LuLu's nails. He did a nice job. When I asked about the price to give her a quick bath and towel dry; I was informed that the towel dry is 12.00 and for them to hand her back to me. Is this a damn joke? Your going to charge me 12.00 to hand MY DOG BACK TO ME?!!! I will never return to buy one item!! This place is a rip off! I don't want her anal glands cleaned and no blow dry because she's a very scared little girl. All I wanted is the nails trim and grounded down, a bath and towel dry and you wanted to charge me 12 bucks for a towel dry and to give her back to me? I am going to social media everywhere so people know how horrible you are and how you rip people off!! I gave her a bath and conditioner myself and towel dried her in 10 minutes. She's a 15 pound short haired for darn sake!!

Do not believe "Same Day Delivery" for orders over $35. I ordered a bag of $87 dog food because it offered same day delivery if the order was placed with 4 hours. I placed the order immediately & added a $6 toy that was on clearance. What I received was the toy, a $6.99 delivery fee (not to mention $10 tip...so a $6 toy on clearance really cost me $21) & the food would be delivered by UPS in 2 days. It's now 2 days later, no dog food & customer service cannot cancel the order, altho no tracking info is available, & now the food should come in 3-5 business days. (I called customer service on the order date & was informed it would be delivered in 2 days). So I may or may not receive the food in a week or more. Customer Service offered nothing, other than to tell me I was wrong. Ok..fool me once. I will be shopping elsewhere

I regularly take my dogs to petco stores for grooming. This location is the worst. I took my dog in who is a mixed breed with a double coat 4 days before I left on a week long trip. First of all, they told me it would take 2 hours and it took 4. When I picked her up, I noticed her coat was very short but I didn't say anything because I had wasted enough time there. When I arrived home from vacation there are patches all over my dog. She doesn't have fleas or ticks, it's just the way the undercoat is growing back since they shaved her. I will never be back to this location.

First of all, I would give 0 stars if that was possible. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance at the Shelby Twp MI Petco. When I came in, the stylist named Christina, immediately had an attitude about the size of my Great Dane dog. That is why I created a profile on-line for him which stated X-LARGE GREAT DANE with a minor case of Wobbler's Syndrome. No surprises there, she just didn't feel like bathing a large dog. I explained to her that he had a minor case of Wobbler's Syndrome in which he just takes a few seconds more than your average dog to do a command, and cannot have any leash or collar pulled on his neck. Something told me not to leave my dogs with her because she didn't seem to even like animals. She obviously hated her job. When I picked up my dog, I came early and saw her pulling him by his neck. I confronted her about her attitude and the mistreatment of my dog. She then tried to charge me for the "ROVER" charge which she said was for walk-in x-large dogs when they can't put them on a table. My charge already takes in to account his breed, size, and weight. My Great Dane has been to other Petco's and I was never charged this, nor did anyone else have an issue bathing my 120 lb Great Dane. She just didn't want to do her job and tried to charge me extra because I confronted her on her bad behavior. That was his last appointment at Shelby Twp, now I made an appointment for him at the Rochester MI Petco for today September 8, 2020. In the past two weeks, I received two phone calls confirming the appointment, along with 2 text messages confirming the appointment. When I got there they said they were refusing to take my Great Dane because he knocked over a table at the last appointment at the Shelby Township Petco. Seriously? Well, that is the first I heard of it. Why wasn't that put on my discharge summary? I know why? BECAUSE CHRISTINA MADE IT UP!!! It never happened! Even if it did, so what! That still would not warrant refusing him a future appointment. That was just an excuse to have me (not my dog) blackballed because I confronted her on her bad behavior. At the Rochester location, Jennifer, refused to answer my questions like, "Why did Erica (the other employee standing there at the counter) confirmed by text and phone call the past few days if my dog wasn't allowed to come back?" They purposely let me drive all the way there just so they could turn me away IN PERSON! Christina at the Shelby Twp location doesn't like animals and doesn't have any business working with them. Jennifer, at the Rochester location, was just as rude as Christina. Petco really needs to screen better for employees who care for people's pets. I have 2 Great Danes and a Lab and I volunteer for an animal rescue. I will make sure everyone I know who loves their pets do not go here!!!!!

My sister and I stopped here last night to get her dog a new lamb chop, "Lamby",toy. Petco usually has holiday Lamby's for the holidays, such as rabbit ears for Easter. Sure enough they had reindeer Lamby's. This Petco is smaller than others in the area but it still has tons of variety with toys, animals and all your pet supply needs. Exceptionally clean and very friendly staff. I'll be back the next time I'm in the area.

I usually go to Petsmart more, but I love stopping in at Petco as well. The store has a different setup, but the same type of animals. They have guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, snakes, hamsters, lizards, snakes, birds, fish, cats, gerbils, chameleons, iguanas, geckos, etc. I think it is awesome that they have a huge turtle tank. There are lots of things you can buy for tanks for turtles and other animals such as snakes and lizards. They have everything a pet can need. They have a cute home furnishings area and a salon (closed on tuesday and thursdays). I also love the mini cat adoption area, but I wish they had more. They were all older cats today. We also saw a VetCo clinic. Something interesting I saw was the raw premium food and treats. Quite pricey option, but a smart one. This store is super clean.
