Beware this pharmacy like the plague. There is a pharmacist here who thinks they know better than the doctors who prescribe the medication. I just had back surgery and was discharged from the hospital yesterday with a prescription for hydrocodone for my pain. At 5 o'clock, we checked the status, and it was incomplete. Checked again at 7:30, still incomplete, so we called. Cvs said the doctor's orders were incomplete and only the doctor could release the medication. They claimed they contacted the doctor, who was unresponsive. This was only partially true. They had only reached out through their automated system after 5 PM, knowing no one would be monitoring it over the weekend until Monday or Tuesday. What is wrong with picking up a telephone and calling the doctor directly especially when I had claimed I had just had back surgery and was suffering immensely? Luckily, my caring doctor called today to check on me. I was furious with him for sending me home without pain medication after surgery, at the time he called it was already 16 hours postop with no pain medication other than what I was giving while during surgery. He had no idea what I was talking about and confirmed everything was in order with the prescription on his end. He hung up and contacted the pharmacy, the ones who decided I shouldn't have the necessary pain medication after surgery. THEY told him that their concern was he was not aware of the medication’s I was taking and that there would be medical complications from this. Anyone with half a brain knows that when you go in for surgery, your medical records as well as your pharmacy records are given to the surgeon. Not that this would be an issue at this instance because Henry Ford is who dispenses all of my medication so he has on his computer a list of medication’s that I take. We discussed risk management. It wasn’t up to a pharmacy technician to decide not to dispense what a doctor had ordered.
Of course, they only released the medication after 3 PM today. Just my luck, no one is available to pick it up. My ex-wife was here to help me after surgery, but she lives far away. Thanks, CVS Pharmacy. Thanks for your customer loyalty. I contacted customer service and demanded disciplinary action, but all I got was a weak apology.

I drove 30 minutes out of the way from another store for my migraine prescription only to find out they did not have it in stock. I asked them to order it for the store I had come from which was by where I live. They filled it at their store. It’s been 4 days and the local store didn’t order it in time and is now telling me I have to wait until Monday- my migraines will not wait until Monday. So now I’m going through rite aid who was able to tell which store accurately has stock and can have it filled by this afternoon- with the added bonus of not getting a million phone calls. The pharmacy workers were very nice. CVS in general has just been a pain to work through.

Shopping at CVS at 46960 Van Dyke, Shelby Township is such a pleasant experience. You are greeted by a friendly employee and offered assistance if needed. This store is always stocked with the items I am shopping for.

WORST PHARMACY EVER. The technicians are very rude. The pharmacist is a total mess. Switched here bc Rite aid closed. Experienced nothing but bad service. Refusing to fill meds that I get every month faithfully. If you want your medication with no issues stay away from this place!!!!

Horrible customer service. Left multiple messages with my name and number simply hoping to speak to somebody about an issue with my MinuteClinic visit and never once heard back. Either the message wasn’t getting passed on, or the MinuteClinic was simply deciding not to respond. Either way, I had my prescriptions transferred to Walgreens after attempting to call to the main MinuteClinic number and was put on hold every time over the next week for anywhere from 17-40 min. Impossible to speak to anybody about an issue. Wish I could give CVS 0 stars.

Stopped in to add money to a bank account were I meet one of CVS's representative who tried to help, but unfortunately she wasn't able to do so. She then without a misstep went and found her manage Joy. Joy was extremely helpful, professional, friendly, respectful, polite. At first we were having some challenges in completing the process but Joy was able to get it done. I appreciated the efforts of all the CVS employees.Highly recommend coming to CVS for one's pharmacy needs or any other self care or pop or snacksPlenty of parking, handicap parking, two ways to get in and out off of 24 Mike road and Van Dyke.Check out their website for hours and services
