The staff and veterinarians at Companion Animal in Shelby are wonderful. They cared for my dog for over 15.5 years. They are compassionate and were wonderful during the end of our sweet girl Bernie’s life. Thank you, all.

Dr. Gilchrist, if that was you abusing your poor rescue German shepherd in the news reports, you should lose your license to practice veterinary medicine. I don't care WHAT that dog did. Your outrageous and violent behavior should land you in jail. That poor dog. I'm glad he was removed from your home. And the other adults in that home should be ashamed of themselves that they did not put a stop to your abuse of a terrified animal.

About 7 years ago my Husky-Beagle got into something that made him pretty sick. Dr Wayne and Dr Janine went above and beyond to get Buddy well again. After that terrible experience, I will never go anywhere else. Our last visit was a double ear infection, quick ,easy and he on the mend. Thanks for being great veterinarians!

I’ve been taking my pets to Dr. Gilchrist and Dr. Tryban for years now. Since they’ve opened. I take them there for everything my babies need. I took one of my pets there yesterday for an important procedure. Dr. Tryban kept me informed on what was going on and did a wonderful job!! When I had to have 2 of my precious babies cross the rainbow bridge?, one in 2020 & one in 2021. Dr. Gilchrist was nothing but compassionate and caring!! Dr. Gilchrist, Dr. Tryban and their staff have been nothing but compassionate, caring and absolutely wonderful to my babies!! I trust them and will continue to keep going there.
