“They stand behind their work. We bought a salvage vehicle from them in 2019 which they restored to brand new looking. One of the things they had to do was replace the front bumper. The bumper came pre-primed and the primer failed. It is now 2024. They replaced the bumper and repainted it and it cost us nothing. Update: Got the opportunity to deal with this husband and wife dynamic duo once again, and of course, jumped at the chance. What a breath of fresh air in a business that isn't usually looked upon that favorably. They did everything they could to help my daughter, things that in the end didn't benefit them one bit. They truly want you to be happy with your purchase and will do their level best to ensure you are. If you are lucky, the very cool race car they own will be on display, and you can get some great stories regarding the car or talk about Don's vast knowledge of music. At times, I forgot I was there on car business, not to hang out and shoot the breeze.
The car's they have on the lot are almost exclusively Subaru's and they know them backwards, forwards and inside out. The car's all inspected and repaired, and ready for years of service. If you have a question, they have the answer or know who is just a phone call away and has the answer. If you are I. The market for a dependable car that is backed by an honest seller, look no further. They also run a great charity that you can easily help with, one that is so important for those less fortunate among us. “This place has been my go-to dealership for over two decades. Dave and Steve have sold me excellent used cars (I’m on my third for the family) that are reliable. My last purchase is running fine after seven years. I’m looking buying a bigger car to accommodate a growing brood but this little one runs so well I hate to let it go. I really trust these guys. Many of these other commenters who are smearing Portage Motors’ here have affiliations with shady dealerships in town. Imagine! “February 18th 2021 i called for a tow off w ave. I was told they no longer offer towing. They reccomended vicksburg towing. I called vicksburg towing. At Vicksburg towing he told me he was one guy and wouldn't be to me for three 3 hours. Thankfully a good Samaritan showed up and pulled me out with a tow strap and refused my cash.”
