It’s a shame that such a beautiful city has business/property owners whom are so disrespectful to the general public. It’s baffling to me as to why people get so upset with people just trying to take photos to document and preserve memories……

We stopped by here for some fudge last week (our first time to the area). We tried 3 kinds (peanut butter cup, cosmic brownie, and cookies and cream). Everyone's favorite, hands down, is the cosmic brownie! Hope to see it available to purchase online soon! Yum!

Moc's du Locke sits along the tourist drag right in front of the Soo Locks park, a coveted position to snare all that traffic. If the prospect of a sugar coma won't do at Fudge du Locke next door, what better to part you from your money than a giant wall of moccasins? Moc's takes its name from the snug, deerskin shoes favoured by the Aboriginals of the Great Lakes. I'm not sure how many of their moccasins are produced in the US or Canada rather than China, but I spent about fifteen minutes petting rabbit fur and other soft linings while waiting for a tour group to assemble. They have moccasins for the entire family, from crawling baby to stylish grandma. The tactile experience is definitely enjoyable, though the price tags had me choking back a surprised laugh. They aren't cheap, even on sale. Other usual touristy swag can be found inside, including ubiquitous t-shirts, pencils, postcards, and more. I snagged a few postcards for family and friends, which were a standard 3 for a $1, or thereabouts. I suspect a few streets back might have saved me a couple more pennies, but they had a nice selection of images to choose from. As far as stores go, make no mistake, this is a shop by and for visitors to Sault Ste. Marie. It feels a bit like a shopping circus, and if you've seen one, you've seen them all.
