This is our second trip and stay @ Last resort. Family owned and operated. Service was top notch. Rooms were very clean and well stocked. Beds are comfortable. They also have a bait shop for people who want to fish. Very affordable rooms highly recommend .

Wild Bills tackle shop had everything I needed to set up my boat I just bought. Dave and Billy did a great job lining me up with every aspect of fishing walleyes from poles,reels,line, planning boards,tackle to bait. Great knowledge and experience. Taylor's warm smiling welcome as I entered the shop even with being very busy answering phones and helping customers with Last Resort customers. Highly recommend both places right on the river.

Very well kept interior and exterior. Probably too nice for dogs and fisherman. Has beachy feel with no beach.
Although great fishing lake, access may be best from State boat launch. The neighbors allow to use boat launch but too shallow and loose stone on narrow entry.
Also neighbors are nosey and are annoying about pets and noise. Even though neighborhood dogs can be very barky.
Owner seemed nice but finding g a light at night in the dark can be issue and be careful on steps with no rails.

We were so very impressed with our stay. We rolled into Sault Ste Marie without any real plans in mid July, and there was a vacancy. The young man that checked us in was courteous, our room was very clean, the bathroom was updated, and the price of $79 was extremely reasonable! We will stay here again!

Nice , neat, and clean rooms. Comfortable beds great rates. Fishing tackle shop on premises, with staff being fairly knowledgeable about fishing conditions. I only wish the tackle shop was open earlier than 8am.

We love this place , the rooms are immaculate and they really take care of you here with the great service , we had a problem and they let us come a day earlier than our reservation , the toilet had a small problem and they had it fixed immediately . I would recommend this place to anyone .
