I loved staying here until they decided to make up lies about having a animal in my room. I rented the room for 4 days for opening day of hunting if I had an animal I would definitely not bring with me.

I stayed here this past Friday. Wonderful staff and the food was amazing. Our room was clean, nicely decorated and the bed was perfect. Will definitely be coming back! Oh and West Park Inn is also known as Bench Warmers. Cute name ! ?⚾?

The bedding was clean, the mattress however has seen better days. There was hair in both the bathtub and the sink, setting off my own ADHD housekeeping routine. I literally wiped cobb webs from the inside of the lampshade. The AC system caused a foul odor to emitt. You get what you pay for:(

Great food in the restaurant, newly refreshed dining room with a separate bar. Great service. Love the Hawaiian quesadillas and the baked potato skins. Lots of menu choices.

We hosted a doTERRA Event in the banquet room, and they went out if their way to accommodate us and make it a wonderful and easy experience. Definitely hope to hold future events here!

Not sure if this will upload, as their wifi is very erratic and keeps dropping (all three of them)! It's currently 4:30 a.m., They put me in a room in the rear building behind the main motel building. It sounds like a hot tub or something has been running all night in the above or adjoining room. At 10pm I figured it would go off automatically if that's what it is. NOPE! No sleep! None. And I started out pleasantly surprised this room didn't smell, like the others. Not happy!

Overall this place is a good place to stay. It is definitely the better of the two options in Sandusky. Most of the rooms are fairly basic, slightly outdated but definitely acceptable for the price and location. They have two suites which I highly recommend. The first is a true two-room suite with separate living and bedroom areas. This suite is slightly outdated like the standard rooms but is bigger and it’s really nice having two truly separate rooms with a door between them. The second suite is literally the nicest hotel room you can get in this town. It has been remodeled recently and features a faux wood floor that looks very nice and a jacuzzi next to the king size bed. It is more of one large room than a true suite and the bathroom is small but this is definitely my room of choice when staying here. You have to specifically request it though, they won’t tell you about it if you just ask what rooms are available.I only really have two complaints about this place. The first is that certain staff members just do not seem to be interested in working here. They seem bored, and uninterested in being particularly friendly or welcoming. I’ve never had a truly BAD experience with anyone here but it was slightly off putting. My only other complaint is the internet speeds. Their website advertises a fiber optic connection for guests. I have run an internet speed test every day of my stay, and the speeds I got ranged from false advertising to literally offensive (1.4 mbps). I’m not sure if the hotel is being screwed by the internet company or if they’re just lying about their internet connection but it definitely is not providing acceptable speeds for a fiber connection, even if it was a standard hookup it’d be slightly disappointing.Other than that, I have nothing bad to say about this place.

Room was priced accordingly. Daily housekeeping. Staff is awesome and accommodating. The owners are on site every day. When I come to the area, I stay here. Food is great at the restaurant, drinks are cold and reasonably priced. I highly recommend West Park inn.
