Too bad you do not have negative stars! I scheduled an appointment online for my 94-year-old mother and myself for 11:30am, to receive a flu shot. I happen to be disabled, so my older sister brought us both to the appointment. They are delightful in the front of the store and know me well. The store is within three blocks of my house, I used to spend an average of $500.00 a month not including prescriptions. We arrived at 11:15am and waited tolerantly until the tech helped a person behind us. When it got to 12:00 my 94-year-old mother inquired when you think we can be seen. The tech handed us a clipboard to complete information because she said the computers were not working. I politely returned them to her and said we were going elsewhere. Because of past experiences with the same tech. I have at least three witnesses that she discriminated against us because of my disabilities and both of us being seniors. As well as a person of color usually brings us into the store. At a minimum, clear elder abuse. My 94-year-old mother deserves respect. I also observed the Pharmacy Manger standing nearby. He also should be held accountable for the same. I hold all health care professionals in high regard. Regrettably Walgreens Pharmacy Saint Johns do not deserve that status.Peter FortinCC: Attorney Dana Nessel

I had prescriptions with Walgreens in St Johns for a long time. The staff has become very poor with customers and service especially the pharmacy. I hope to never go to this location for prescriptions ever again.

I have been filling my script at this pharmacy for the last 5 yrs and on 9/2 I went in to fill it like I always do every month, they told me it was a day to early and I told them this is something I have to have or I can get really sick and that I was on my way up north and couldn’t fill it tomorrow. She said try to find a pharmacy up north. I said if you won’t fill it then no you else will. She said there are pharmacies that will fill it early. That told me that my insurance would fill it but it was the pharmacist that wouldn’t. My script has never been to early in the last 5 yrs. It’s every 28 days. This pharmacist didn’t care if I got sick or not. Very disappointed in their pharmacy!! I have spent a lot of time and money in that store while waiting for my medicine. ???

Excellent service, they worked out a problem that I had with getting a script. I had to drive all the way from Lansing and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend!

I have tried for 2 and a half months to get a Rx filled, with the prior authorization in my hand. I have "discussed" this 4 times with pharmacists and techs. Each time they demand they are correct and I am wrong. I work in the medical field, I am familiar with the med I came in for. Each time I was treated like a child and lectured at. Today, I finally got my medicine corrected, after speaking with 3 people. I sincerely thanked the pharmacist for helping and getting it corrected, and then she started lecturing me about all the excuses why they were unable to fill it. I had previously called my insurance company and they told me the pharmacy was entering as a 32 day supply and not a 30 day supply. I had mentioned this little tidbit everytime I spoke with the pharmacy since February.... but I was wrong. I will be transferring my medications elsewhere.

Booked my Covid vaccine booster appointment online and showed up prior to my appointment time. They have signs posted for two separate lines in the pharmacy area- one for RX pick up/drop off, the other for Covid vaccine check in. Staff were not utilizing so I ended up waiting beyond my appointment time for someone ahead of me to pick up multiple scripts. Strike one for not following their own established procedure. (Keep in mind there were only 2 RX customers and me in the store) When I stepped up to check in, the pharmacy manager asked me all of the same questions that I had already prefilled out on the forms. Strike two- Why are you asking people to fill out paperwork ahead of time to save time if you aren't going to read it? The big strike three comes from the manager telling me that 'the government requires you to have a paper vaccine card'. Erm...no they don't. My information is recorded in MICRS and I can access my vaccine information via my Sparrow app if I need it. Whole process took 40 minutes. However, the tech who administered the shot was very knowledgeable and friendly, so kudos to him.

Worked all night and had to go to ER from a bad accident. Standing at the counter all you here is loud hideous laughing , and peaks around and said we're about to go on lunch. I just wanted a Covid shot. It was 120 in the afternoon. How important is this Covid shot I wonder if they could't take 5 minutes to do it for me. Why are they closing the window at 130? Shouldn't there be some one there? We work to.

First, I've been a Walgreens customer for many years. I have always preferred it and have always had great experiences with the pharmacy and other employees. When my insurance changed and I had to change to Kroger, I sorely missed Walgreens. When my insurance changed again, I was very happy to go back to Walgreens. Unfortunately, my opinions have changed drastically in the past few months.
This last experience was the straw that broke the camel's back and is why I am writing this review. I stopped in after work yesterday around 6 pm to check the status of a prescription that was supposed to be called in by my doctor's office earlier that day. They flat out told me there were no prescriptions for me - not that it hadn't been filled yet, but that there were no precriptions at all for me to even be filled. I have made several calls this morning (my doctor's office included - to try to sort out what happened in an equal and fair manner) and my very last call answered all of my questions. The pharmacist on staff told me they received my prescription at 3 pm yesterday. After months of sticking with them out of loyalty I have officially decided I am changing pharmacies.
