“I've been dreaming about how great this fudge was since I've been back home. It's worth another trip from SC to go back just to get more! I highly recommend.”

“I'm a Michigander and have lived here my whole life. Whenever we travel, we can't help but compare fudge because the Mackinac area is famous for it. We see "Mackinac" fudge all over the country and so we have to try it. Naturally, when it's not fresh it's not as good. But still, no place can compare to Murdick's. Not even the other fudge shops in the UP. The only place I'd say comes in close second is Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen. If you like fidge, definitely don't skip past Murdick's.”

“Jenna was incredible today. We drove up minutes after closing. She motioned us in, turned on the lights and let us get our fudge. Great Customer Service Jenna! You saved the day ?”

“I won't lie. You'll have to take a walk off the beaten path for this little shop. Nestled across from Fort Michilimackinac, on the other side of the highway, you'll meet a man making fudge. Not just any man, but a man who spends every day during the winter making it, then every summer selling it. I met him on Christmas eve. The only shop that was open. Like a dummy, I thought taking my family for a weekend away to an empty town was gonna be a great idea. Unfortunately, the only places open were one restaurant, the grocery store (which had no fudge), and this little gift shop. Run by the nicest old man who chatted up my kids and gave us that small town welcome. Sold me all the fudge I would need for my family who was down south at a better price than what you would typically find.”

“I would say my taste buds somehow sync with their fudge. Irs may be michigan's weather that made me this way. I tired fudge in various countries, but Joann's fudge hits differently. Haha, was there for 35 tikes already. I tried only chocolate, dark chocolate, or sea salt caramel based flavor. Others are not my thing. But now saying they are bad, I just don't like other flavor. People's are nice and gave me warm greetings always. However, here I come with my question: Why not we are trying coffee, chocolate.and ground chocolate flavor yet?! What about passion fruits? ? . However, the collection of Joann's is great. Most importantly, I liked their package. That's super cute. If you are buying, buy at least 5 -10 bar rather than 1 or 2. You will miss it while eating those bars at home. The first time, I took one bar, and I finished it within a day. It took me 8 months to go back. Haha. Highly recommended.Dietary restrictions: I think it is better you discuss with them if you have any concern.Kid-friendliness: Of course, but be careful it's not willy Wonka 's ?”

“Nice fudge shop in downtown Mackinaw city. Had a sample of their pumpkin pie fudge. It was ok: not very smooth and a bit gritty. Tried a sample of dark salted caramel and it was smooth and delicious!!”

“Marshall's is my favorite fudge shop in Mackinaw City! The staff is always friendly, their selection is fabulous, and they have a few non-fudge treats for those of us who can't eat dairy. I highly recommend their Divinity Puffs and Cashew Brittle. Delish! It's also fun to watch them make their huge batches of fudge, and their beautiful specialty chocolates are amazing according to my kids and husband!”

“I sampled as much fudge from the other shops. As I know a bit about fudge May's is the best. Creamy, fwanderful flavor and no bitter aftertaste. And I saw actual ingredients. If i ever get back to Mackinawi will come back to buy here.Hey! I could just order online. Right?”

“Went here with my family when visiting the upper peninsula. I had just ate a bunch of food over at Dixie saloon so I unfortunately did not have room for any snacks hahah! However my cousin and her fiance' got se of the ice cream and said it was good. This store also surprisingly had tons of souvenirs and even t-shirts and hoodies.”

“Friendly but quiet staff. The building is really rustic with the log cabin theme. A lot of different gifts to choose from. Was pretty clean in the building. A lot of different popcorn and fudge to choose from. The Caramel Popcorn is very good.”

“Ryba's is hands down the best fudge shop on Mackinac Island, which in turn means it's one of the best fudge shops ANYWHERE! Not only does it have the most fudge shops out of any other spot on Main Street (it tickles me PINK to know that there are literally at least 5 shops on this one, small stretch of road?!), but it really supports this sheer volume of shops with BUSINESS! Every single one we pass by will have a line at least to the door consistently throughout the day and that's a beautiful sight to behold!Every single time I've come to Mackinac Island, I've gone fudge hopping, as one naturally does as it's part of the island experience! You go about to different fudge shops and watch them make the fudge live in front of your eyes and are treated to both this wonderous sight AND to free samples of freshly made fudge! And every time I do this thinking maybe I'll feel differently this time, all signs yet again point to Ryba's being the best fudge in the business!!! They are consistently above the rest and you will never be disappointed with anything you get here! For me, I don't have a huge sweet tooth, so getting one slice of fudge (or two at the most to try the different flavors) will have me tapped! Occasionally I'll pick up a salted caramel or two as well, but Ryba's has SO much to offer outside of fudge as well and all of it looks delicious! I definitely also get the dog treats that they make here and my dogs LOVE THEM and if I was a bigger popcorn fan, I'd definitely get the popcorn as well. But I highly recommend all who are in the market for fudge or any quality sweet treats to shop at Ryba's! You won't be disappointed! THINK PINK!”
