Hopefully they don't block me from sharing this again but I used to love to wander through this store for lil thing's for the house. Now .. even with no employees to deal with you couldn't pay me enough money to go back. I go to family dollars across the street.. they have wonderful helpful very very kind staff that enjoy their jobs and are extremely helpful + offer way more then DG. When DG did have employees instead of self checkout only .. I was threatened to have the cops called for returning a mislabeled charger cord. They were put in the wrong box. Another customer seen me and said she just went through the same hassle. So I moved the 3 remaining cords into the proper box for the manager and said that wasn't hard to correct. She refused to return my charger after I helped her do her job and told me if I didn't leave with the wrong charger she would call the cops on me. So I gave it away. The same Manger threatened a 67yr lady with the police if she didn't leave because she found out it was the charger cord I tried returning. It was of no use to either of us. I gave it away so I didn't get the return money. Others have listened to this Manger scream at customers and stand in the doorway to block them from coming in. I have had people apologize to me for watching her reactions .. they're customers as well. After talking with several people in this village.. they've all had many many issues and mistreatment also. She is famous for screaming I hate it when the stock truck comes in. Thats scary to me .. she is not paid really good money to hate her job publicly and threatening customers. Sucks even more now that all DG's get paid complete profits because they nolonger staff real employees, only mangers stock. Family dallor puts money back into the community buy paying the community to work for them with proper standards of treatment towards others and customers. They are extremely helpful and offer way more and better stuff for less across the street. DG added more cold food to keep up with family dollars is all but puts nothing, absolutely nothing back into the community except less stress .. because the anxiety of worring over another person's mood doesn't directly effect their customer's anymore .. there's only machines now to deal with. No I hate my job Mangers. Feel bad for all the good cashiers that lost their jobs to machines .. so DG can keep all of their extra, extra inflammation costs for themselves. They over charge on everything .. even Frank's dropped their prices but not DG .. just people. All for Profit.PUTTING BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY THAT IS FOUNDING YOU IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT & THEY NOLONGER DO THAT AT ANY Dollar General. Saint Charles is by far the WORST experience of my life at any store or situation at that. I HAVE MENTIONED TO OTHER DG'S THEY NEED TO COME SHOW SAINT CHARLES HOW TO WORK WITH PEOPLE BUT THEY REMOVED 95% OF THEIR STAFF. IMAGE THAT. GREEDY.

The manager there is very mean and nasty to customers. I was not sure if she was having a bad day or not. She was very rude to me

Employees were hard to find. I waited at an empty cash register for over 5 minutes. When finally greeted the young lady seemed put out to have to take the time to ring my stuff up.

1. I do not think Eminem is the type of music that should be played in a retail store. 2. Person waiting on me could not put the phone down and it was a personal call. I know this because I had to listen to her talk about the person that cleans her house and laundry.
