I love this HomeGoods in Saginaw. I am in there 2-3 times a month for sure. I was in yesterday, found several items and went to check out. I had purchased a terracotta sheep about 16” x 12”. It was heavy and I didn’t want to get any smudges on it before I got it home. It is an item that can be placed outside. As I was checking out, I asked the cashier if she could wrap it a bit to protect it. I did not think that it was an unreasonable request. She was at that time wrapping 5 small frames that I was purchasing. She then looks at me and said, “You really want me to wrap this? It’s cement, that won’t protect it from breaking.” Mind you it wasn’t so much what she said, it was the tone and crabbiness she delivered it with. I then replied, yes I would like it wrapped and that I would purchase an extra bag of theirs…which I love, to then put it into. She then tells me in her crabby tone, that’s not going to help either and that I would rip the handle off. I am now mad, due to her attitude towards me. She continues ringing up my items, I ask for name and then with her unpleasantness tells me “she will wrap it!” By this time I am so mad. I am in customer service and a business owner, customer service and word of mouth are everything. I told her no, I’d now take it like it is and I put it in my cart, unwrapped and not bagged.
As I finished I looked back to the two women who were waiting in line close by and witnessing everything to be sure to not ask for anything extra to be wrapped and headed out of the store. Will I go back, of course. Perhaps the cashier was having a bad day, I don’t know but I hope that in the future she is more pleasant and just wraps an item when the customer asks.

Everytime I have been to this Home Goods store the stock is well organized and there is lots of everything! I have never been to a better Home Goods than the Saginaw store. The management knows what they are doing and should be an example for other Home Goods stores. All the staff is very polite.

Most generally speaking, I've always had a good experience here. They have slit of stuff in an efficiently sized store. Note: if it matters to you, I opened one of their credit accounts for future discounts, and when I asked, they said they do not run a Hard Check on your credit. Unfortunately, they were mistaken and they Do run a Hard Check. I have excellent credit, and many people are not aware that if you have more than two Hard Checks on your credit in one year it can knock 12 to 20 points off of your score. It takes two years for a Hard Check to go off your credit, and they stack up. Just FYI if you're trying to improve/maintain your credit score.
