My family and I are moving to Saginaw. We went to DG to buy some groceries and necessities for our new place. We were approached by a white, female employee who told us that we need to stay together as a group because OBVIOUSLY we're sick. None of us are sick. None of us were coughing or sneezing. We were wear masks in public because we have medically fragile family members and cannot risk getting them sick with even a cold.
She tried to argue with us that we've never been masked in there before (my family has never been there before). When we informed her we haven't even moved yet and she's never seen us before. Several other customers started to get upset as she was over chastising us instead of cashing them out.
We decided to leave because we did not want to continue to have the conversation. We told her to have a good day and walked out. She followed us out of the building to continue to try and defend her actions. At this point the other customers started to become irate at both her treatment of us and her continued ignoring of them. One eventually also came out of the store, yelling in anger at her behavior. We asked her to please leave us alone and help her customers.
What a gross, embarrassing interaction. Especially her following us out of the store to continue to harass us when all we wanted to do was leave.

Cashier talking on cell phone while ringing people up. Nobody there to restock shelves. Shelves are empty. Freezer broken. Need I say more? Just come here cuz it's close to me. But can't seem to find anything I want anymore.

Surprised! Big Store, Big Selection of All Kinds of Things from Food, Drinks, Exercise Equipment. I have gone back a Couple of times now...Happy to give them a Good Review. Hope the Best for Them and the Dollar General Store. Michigan ✋️

We go here often. We always return carts that people from area complexes take and do not return. It is our exercise while giving back. The shelves are always stocked. Food is always fresh. The service is always kind and knowledgeable. Prices are fair here despite local trends to raise prices too high. We have always found what we were looking for here.

Rude employees.....messy every single time I try to stop in for something quick. Yes, I understand a lack of employees but when they are playing on their phones and NOT working that becomes an issue.
