First and last time in this establishment. I’m not sure if it was the fact that it was an early Sunday morning, opening for them but my father and I walked in, we were greeted which was nice and directed to the fishing area. However, we waited for about 5-7 minutes for assistance while waiting for guy working in the section to finish with a customer who obvious had a much more detailed need than us. We just needed to find a specific fishing hook. We watched about 3-4 employees walk past, look at us and keep walking that didn't attempt to help or possibly couldn’t help and apparently the gentleman in that section working was the only one that could help us. I didn’t love the lack of acknowledgement or attempt to see what we needed. If you’re in retail - you multi task usually - from my 17 years of experience that is. Just wasn’t a fan of my experience for it to be my first.

It has everything you might want at Cabela's. The staff is super friendly. I came with my dog to practice training. He received a treat as soon as we came in, and all the staff was super nice to him

This place deserves zero stars! The wonky eyed fat guy behind the counter has false sense of authority. Denied us the right to view guns because he said we smelled like marijuana. We don’t even smoke! We were flabbergasted and he tried to backtrack and say “Maybe it was the guy here before you.” And I said “Oh you mean the guy you sold a gun to?” He had nothing to say after that, what could he say he got caught lying. My husband had a few choice words for him and we left and took our business to someplace else, and spent 2k at a store in Livonia. He’s canceling his Cabellas credit card now, you’ve lost a loyal customer!

Rating simply on the staff interactions. The staff at the gun counter are great! However any of the typical retail staff seem to be bothered by your presence.

I wanted to buy a bunch of new lures but every lure is on the self backwards. This is unacceptable and unfortunate for Cabelas Saginaw MI. I decided to order from Tackle Warehouse thanks!

This is the most fantastic shop ever ! Full of wonderful out door things everyone needs great for gifts and the staff are super helpful … a must to visit !

Purchased a rifle back in March but the guys behind the gun counter decided it was "too short" to legally be sold in Michigan. The length requirement is greater than 26 inches, the Mini-14 Tactical is greater than 28 inches in it's shortest configuration. The employees couldn't even tell me which states the firearm was legal to purchase in. They returned my rifle to the US Military(apparently not legal for civilians) and told me to expect my refund in 7-11 days.
I purchased the exact same rifle from another Outdoor Store in Michigan a few days later and received it with no issue. Crazy, right?
The crazy part is this whole situation could have been avoided if they didn't sell me a gun that thay believed was illegal to sell. State laws and regulations should be interpreted at the corporate level, not at the minimum wage level, where apparently their employees don't know how to operate a ruler.
