I stopped in the other day just to see what the store was. I loved everything in the store. Everything is hand made and they were very nice and helpful about the items and will go back to get some items.

If you like locally made country decor for home or garden, this shop is for you. The 2 gals who own it, create colorful decorations from reclaimed wood/household items. I love the bird houses, garden ladders and porch signs!

Love, Love, Love, Love this place. Even before I walked in I knew I would love this place because their front porch decor made me smile from ear to ear. The smell of cinnamon and Christmas wafts up to greet you when you walk thru the door The displays are precious. The folk art decor, signs, candles...all well made, creative, darling vignettes of a variety of diff subjects--Halloween, Easter, Christmas, Boat/Cabin, Gardening. Shop small, and stop here first

I found this lovely store on Etsy because I was looking for a beautiful well crafted Bell on a plaque to donate to the cancer center that I am currently receiving treatment for breast cancer at. I had arranged and got approval with the department director at the center for the go ahead. A Simpler Time from the start has been extremely responsive and open to my needs. They worked fast because the of a tight time line I was on before my final chemo treatment. It is devastating to say that at the last minute the Cancer Center denied my donation to the hospital and I had to cancel my order. Christine, was SO kind and understanding more then myself about the situation and cancelled my order and refunded me the full cost. I would have happily given a 3o% processing fee. I can't wait till there is another opportunity to order something from their shop. They do excellent work and provide personal attention to each item they sale. Thank you again for being amazing and the work that you do!! I highly recommend this place!!!

I met these ladies at the Fenton Arts/Crafts show at Christmas time last late Nov. 2016. My neighbor and I each bought birdhouses from them. Immediately afterward I was kicking myself, because I hadn't gotten a couple more of for gifts. I finally found them via some creative Googling and made a run up to their shop in Saginaw today. Beside birdhouses, they have so many other lovely country and rustic items for outside and inside decorating. Their work shop is in the back of the building, as they are working on projects to sell in the shop up front. My neighbor put her birdhouse out the night she bought it and by the next day, birds had moved in. So stinking adorable! :) I highly recommend.
