I honestly cannot recommend this place enough for anyone who is serious about adopting a cat.I filled out an application online and received an email the next day that it was approved. I went in with my fiance and was greeted by the incredibly friendly staff. They're knowledgeable and very wiling to provide any information they have about the cat(s) you're interested in.The facility is clean and well-kept. You wouldn't even know there are cats there with how sanitary it is. It's clear that they take great care of the cats until they're adopted. We went in with the expectation of adopting one cat and ended up with two. If you want to add a cat or cats to your family, definitely consider New Beginnings and start filling out an application on their website.

Hi I have two male cats they were born around July so they are only a couple months I took them in because I didn’t wanna see them outside but it’s becoming a bit to much for me with all my bills and how much I work I rarely get to spend time with them what do I do as far as giving them up to a great home?

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this rescue. I visited this rescue three separate times to meet cats I saw on their FB & website. The first two times I went in, I talked with a woman at the front desk who seemed a bit annoyed that I was there and was not happy to answer my questions (questions such as - how old, indoor/outdoor, they like other cats, etc.). She didn't seem to know many details about the cats, which didn't make me feel comfortable in moving forward. I felt very unwelcomed and left, but decided to give the shelter another shot a few weeks later because they were in close proximity to my home and they were constantly posting adoptable cats on their FB page. The third time I went in, I was "paired up" per the recommendation of another (nicer, more helpful) woman in the office with a cat who had been at the shelter for a while. I asked my typical questions as well as whether or not she had veterinarian records, to which their response was "absolutely, yes" and they would be included in the paperwork I received when adopting the cat.I adopted the cat and realized later at home that those veterinarian records only included the vaccines she received once she was in the shelters care... nothing from the prior owner. This was larger issue about a week into adopting the cat that I noticed major health issues that may (or may not be - still unsure and diagnosing with vet) pre-existing. I have since called this veterinarian to ask for records to which I was told that it is not common for cat owners to take their cat to the vet each year and to not expect records...I have never heard of this as I take my other cat each year for their annual exam and vaccines and feel that is the responsible thing to do. I was told that the cat I adopted was loved and cared for, and that the only reason she was surrendered was because her owner could not take her to her new home.I take responsibility for not digging deeper into her history while I was at the shelter, but wanted to post this review to warn others to not be ignorant like I was. If knowing the cat's prior health history is important to you, make sure that the cat you are interested in was surrendered with veterinarian records, not just the paperwork for her vaccines upon surrender. I feel a bit naive, but I thought when I asked for veterinarian records, that truly meant ALL veterinarian records. This shelter is under a different impression, as they believe it is typical that most owners do not take their cats in unless the cat is sick. In my case, I'll never know because no records were provided. The last upsetting thing I will mention is that when I called the shelter to ask more about any details they could provide about my cat while she was at the shelter (she was there for an extended amount of time), they were very cold and offered no empathy, even upon hearing that my cat is hospitalized as of today after 6 veterinarian appointments totaling close to $3k. This is very upsetting to me - an "I am sorry you are going through this, we hope she feels better soon" would go a long way and make me feel less regret about what has happened.

I tried to adopt a senior cat that had been stuck in a Petsmart cage for almost a month with no interest. I have two cats, and a cat door and they come and go. The ad, for this cat named Coal says NOTHING about any requirement he remain a totally indoor cat but they REFUSED me because I have a cat door in my condo? The woman I corresponded with was a bitch who seems to be able to read Coal's mind and know that he doesn't want to come be loved at my place. I will NEVER attempt to rescue an animal from these people. Bunch of assholes.

These two ladies have provided many cats and kittens a life they wouldn't have had! If only there were more people like them and fewer people who treat cats like disposables!
