They will diagnose the issue with your car, show you exactly what is wrong (while lifting the car, as needed) and give you a range of prices that meet your needs. “This was my first time here and I came to this location in Royal Oak,, because it came highly recommended. I needed to get brakes done and Mark and his team took care of me! Mark was very friendly and professional. He made me feel comfortable talking to him and made me feel valued as a person, not just a customer. As a single woman, you sometimes feel intimidated and feel like you’ll be taken advantage of because you don’t know much about cars. Well that wasn’t the case here! I didn’t have to wait long and I got a free oil change on my next visit! Everything from the service to the price was great! “Brought my car in first thing in the morning with a nail in my tire and asked if they could squeeze me in whenever they had a chance. They had it done by lunch, and didn’t even charge me for the repair, just said to come back and see them when I need to. “Long story short: Best Price (I checked with 3 places). Best customer service I've ever seen (if you read the long story long I will give examples). Fast turn around time. Long story long: I went to two other places that do breaks and rotors. I waited at the other places for 35-53 minutes before I was given a quote. Not a big deal. At Brakes Xpress I only waited 18 minutes. Lawrence the mechanic was swamped and STILL made time to come out and sit with me and tell me what he noticed and to ask me what I noticed. I also got to see Eric who runs the front of the house in actions twice. The first time a woman in her late 50's early 60's pulled up in a car that had definitely seen better days. She came in almost belligerent. Making demands about how much it should cost her and she was being rude and interrupted Eric no less than 4 times as he tried to explain to her what she would most likely need repaired on her car. She insisted that she only needed the brakes done. Eric calmly with no change of inflection in his voice told her that she needed to get her rotors done as well as the brakes because if she only got the brakes done it wouldn't stop her steering column from shaking. Which she complained about. Eric took his time with her and let her interrupt him and still treated her very kindly. She came in almost mad for no reason and left apologizingly to Eric because she realized she had mistreated him. I have rarely seen someone so good with potential customers as Eric was. I didn't even have my quote yet but I was already certain this was going to be my new go to shop for my car. The second time was when I dropped off my car the following day for the work. A man went in the back to try and tell Lawrence what HE thought he wanted done. Lawrence kept his cool and kept trying to explain to the man why he needed to have certain things done. Pointing out stuff to the man. Eric went back to assists and everyone stayed calm. I was blown away. Eric and Lawrence make a great team. Truly. Lawrence whom had several cars he was working on came out and SAT with me. He clearly knows cars and still spoke to me like a human and even made some good jokes which I appreciated. He walked me through what he saw and recommended new brakes, rotors and 2 new front tires as I hadn't kept up with getting them rotated at every oil change. I was so happy to pay the bill in hopes these guys will continue doing such a great job and treating everyone so well.”
