Poor customer service. Poor communication skills. Use anyone else but this company. I got better treatment from H&R Block after going to them for a second opinion. I was issued a new accountant at ATS this year after using the same person for almost 10 years. New person took three, almost four months to file things that would have taken my old accountant two weeks. They also made several mistakes and didn't apply for everything I qualified for. I see your business going downhill fast since your best accountant is no longer available.

I used ATS Royal Oak for 8 years with good results. Unfortunately, they changed accountants on me without notice. My taxes are not complicated. I paid the IRS taxes ATS calculated. Two months later I received a Seizure Notice from the IRS. The accountant was off in their calculations by thousands . I had one month to respond before losing my property. ATS took two weeks to contact the IRS and was not capable of clarifying to me why I was being penalized. I would suggest you use a different tax service if you don't want the ugly surprise of errors or a Seizure notice, followed by weak support.

If I could give zero stars, I would. It took them SIX MONTHS to complete our tax return, it was next to impossible to ever reach anyone at the firm or to receive a return phone call, and then we got a nasty letter in the mail (after having received literally NO bill or invoice previously) that insinuated that we were planning on not paying them. Terrible customer service. Terribly slow tax preparation - no reason given why it took them so long to complete it, and they never sent me the documents to confirm that they filed an extension despite me asking several times. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.
