Having read the reviews of recent new customers that are coming in for the super low prices, I can tell you why you are getting a different grade of gas than what you intended. When you turn with the nozzle in hand to put it in your cars tank, you are too close to the pump and hitting the incorrect product button with the hose. MDARD was just out to test the pumps today. We have no issues.Back up and pay attention to what grade is lit up before pulling the nozzle trigger. You’re welcome.

Best prices in the area. That’s the only pro of this place but given the current gas prices, it’s the only pro I need to return. The actual station is tiny and not well designed- a line forms quickly at each pump and getting around it is impossible. I haven’t been inside the station but based on reviews I’ll avoid it.

Twice in the past 6 weeks I used cash to get the cheaper price. The 1st time I pushed regular and my receipt says mid grade. I didn't go in to complain...maybe 2nd guessed myself. Then I go back yesterday and I know I pushed regular and my receipt says premium. I go in to complain and the owner says this has never happened and maybe I hit the wrong button. I've been using regular unleaded for 30 years. This is shady business and hopefully people are checking receipts. My usual gas station 12 and crooks had the best prices and is under construction. I will not be hoing back here.

They have the cheapest gas prices in the greater detroit area. (Yes, I was a little worried after seeing a news story of another gas station with cheap prices and diluting their gas, but this place would have been shut down by now bc SO MANY PEOPLE COME HERE). I’ve gotten gas here over 10 times, no issues. People are nice, everyone in line seems to respect the very long lines so we all try to hurry up to get in and get out for ppl waiting for gas.I noticed there were really bad reviews and after reading them they seem to be mostly based on customer service (which is kind of funny, I mean it’s a gas station). I don’t doubt their experiences, but I’ve never had a bad experience, I’ve actually always walked out thinking how nice they are. BUT, even if they were not all that nice ….. I don’t care, it’s a gas station. The pumps all work properly (for me), the prices are LITERALLY ALMOST AN ENTIRE $1 cheaper per gallon. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you! You have to be pretty good humans to be one of the ONLY gas stations to not completely rip people off with these crazy soaring prices. I was driving through Detroit, a bad area and gas was $4.30! I went here, it’s $3.50! I mean, you have to be thankful and grateful. Now, if I was a greedy competitive gas station who was price gouging and I saw THIS gas stations WAY lower prices……I’d probably write bad reviews. Just saying…….

I visited this location because of the competitive prices. However today when I went to pump my regular unleaded for 3.65 the pump had some type of malfunction. The display window didn't show any prices. When I finished pumping my gas and took my reciept, the receipt showed premium gas for 4.49 had been selected. I immediately went back into the station to notify the clerk, (Ton or Ty) she printed the receipt from the inside and said that I must have selected premium. I've had this car since 2016 and I've never put premium gasoline in my car. I am very competent and I pump my gas at different stations and I have never had this happen before. I have a Sam's and Costco membership. I clearly could have went to either location to save money. This situation really angers me because they stole my money. While I was pumping my gas the clerk came outside and smerk at me. How do I know that she didn't override something from the inside. They do have control the pumps from the inside. When I questioned her about malfunction she offered to call the owner/manager to see if she could pull the camera. She telephoned the manager Christina Jackson who then said they don't have a camera on the pump that I was using. How convenient for her. Neither one of them offered to come out to the pump while I was there to at least listen and allow me to show them what happened. As an African American I am tired of business owners biases and not taking the time understand the importance of Customer Service. I have over 15 years of customer service experience, Graduate degree, and work every day. I also value my integrity. I went back to get the clerks name and the name of the manager so that I can make a complaint. The clerk had the audacity to hand me manager card and cover her name tag up with her hand. She said you don't need my name all you need is the managers name. She was very rude in my opinion. Customers beware of this location. The clerk is a heavy set African American woman with dreadlocks. I always remember from my days in retail that thefts are internal. I am filing a complaint with Federal Trade Commission. The owner and staff needs customer service training because if you don't improve your business will eventually close permanently.

I’d leave a lower review if I could. I spoke with someone with the same car as I did for 5 minutes before the owner came and yelled at me to “keep moving, it’s not a parking lot!” So I head in to purchase a charger. Ask for the closest restroom as theirs was not open to the public and the kind lady behind the counter directed me next door where they had porta-potty’s. Went to ask the owner if that was permissible and she proceeded to treat me like I was asking for her unborn child. Incredibly rude then refused to allow me to return an unopened item then proceeded to mock me saying “blah blah blah” like a child. Would recommend any other gas station over this one.

Amoco should close this gas station. It leaves a poor name for the company as a whole allowing an owner like the one at the Woodward location in Royal Oak to continue business as unprofessionally as she does. As someone who has worked in customer service I know first hand the customer is not always right however, yelling and demeaning your customers is NEVER okay. I will not be giving any Amoco gas stations my business again because of my experience at this location and I will be advising my peers to do the same.

After having spent over $30 at this place over a period of a 2 days . I went in and experienced a extremely rude fat girl named Tina went in there with1.00 in empty's she acted like I was dirt. So anyway I proceeded buy $6 worth of beer and said I had my own bag she's like "well they got it being a bag of some kind "very snotty! when I commented to her about how rude she was she told me "don't ever come back!" I I went back several hours later she was still there and threatened to call the cops on me! I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Long time customer of Royal but ever since Amoco took over this station, they now charge more for credit. Too many other stations (especially on Crooks) that still have same price cash or credit so I won’t be back.
