Very helpful gentleman at front desk that helped me diagnose my 30 year old dryer. Came back after confirming I needed an igniter, and the woman was equally helpful. Always greatful for local businesses that have the knowledge and time to be helpful.

Poor customer service on the phone. Guy picking up hangs up on you after getting notified of a cancelled appointment with a statement “All right, you are cancelled”. The call to set the appointment up wasn’t any better, plenty of attitude. Conclusion is must not care about the customers. Probably better to stay away.

[Update] the technician from this business told us our dishwasher was a lost cause, and that it would cost $800-$900 for him to repair it. GUESS WHAT, after we installed $29.63 worth of new parts ordered from Maytag website, our dishwasher is good as new.
We have a Maytag dishwasher less than 3 years old. It has a peculiar leak that comes from one front corner. I called this place for a diagnostic and potential repair job because I thought they were a Maytag expert. As soon as the technician opened the dishwasher, he decided that the leak was due to buildup of particles. My common sense couldn’t comprehend such an explanation, so I tried different ways of asking questions, hoping he would look a little further than build-up. After all it was a relatively new machine. He got upset and firmly claimed buildup was the cause. He priced the repair job at $800-$900. Of course we didn’t request his repair service. The whole session took 10 minutes and he left with a $89 check.
After we thoroughly cleaned the dishwasher, it still leaks. Since “expert” couldn’t help, we decided to take a look ourselves. We didn’t need to look far and found that the leak is actually due to a loose pin that secures the top rack. The part that secures the plastic pin on the outside is missing and it creates a loose connection. So water seeps from the edge of the loose pin and soaks the cotton-like material on the outside and drips down to the floor.

Great place to do business with, super helpful when I was fixing an old Maytag dryer. Friendly, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

If you are in the Royal oak area and don't already know about A Dependable Maytag you shouldn't be using anyone else for your appliances.I needed help all the way in Florida figuring out a problem with a recently purchased Washer (from a local store) and they did everything over the phone so that I could get it taken care of right away.Thank you Stephen Murphy and Mrs. Murphy, for helping me with my washing machine yesterday and this morning.

This place is the BEST. I've been using them for nearly 10 years. So easy to work with, they'll contact tenants directly.

Had an issue with my water inlet valve on my washing machine. I was able to discuss with the owner and ensure my issue was that valve. He ordered me a replacement part and gave me enough courage to fix it myself. The washing machine is good as new since replacing that part. Thanks to Bill for the help.

I bought a washer and dryer from HD. The gas dryer was making weird noises. HD told me to call A Dependable to see if they could help with the noise...even though it was brand new. I called and A Dependable was more than helpful. But I found out they sell appliances and compete with HD....so I was pretty embarrassed, even though I was told to call them. I will only be buying appliances from A Dependable in the future. The HD experience and lack of knowledge was horrible. I so wish I would have know about A Dependable earlier. Thanks again for being so generous with your time even though I purchased from HD.

Called with a question about a washer I got from Lowe's. The owner was super nice and helped me figure out an issue in seconds that multiple Lowes was installers couldn't figure out. We should have purchased from these fine people - will be our first stop for next appliances. Lesson(s) learned. Thanks!
