Booked based on previous Delta hotel experiences in Canada. Expectations are a higher quality experience, well kept rooms, good restaurant on-site. Can't say it completely met our expectations. While it appears the site was renovated extensively, the doors to your room are still old, the elevator small, and the room was just okay. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. Just felt dated, even with the renovations that were done. They do offer an airport shuttle, but we didn't use it as we were told we couldn't leave our vehicle there. Might be noisy for some as low flying planes frequent over this hotel on route to landing at DTW. Next time I think we would stay at another hotel that offers long term parking arrangements.

Hotel rooms are little dated, but everything else is nice and new. Food was great also. The staff was unbelievable though. Highly recommend staying here.

Located right next to the airport which is great for convenience, but also noisy with aircraft taking off and landing late at night and early in the morning; you will hear the rumbling. It's a little bit outdated, the carpet and ceilings are ugly. Check-in was busy with only one person working the front desk, so it took about 30 minutes to get checked-in. The poor lady was overwhelmed with a line of people and a ton of phone calls, that's poor management right there. No free breakfast is a huge negative in my point of view. In this day and age, continental breakfast should be included in every hotel stay.

My flight was canceled and I needed a hotel room quickly. I had found this on the Internet, called, and they had availability so I checked in at the door with a AAA discount.This is a pretty standard Marriott hotel. It is definitely not in their luxury line. It feels like an airport hotel. Everybody checking in seemed like they were only staying for a night or were flight crews.The room itself was comfortable and fine. There bed and linens were clean. I wish they had an extra blanket in the room but y he thermostat was easy to set and worked great. You’ll notice the photos were dark because I couldn’t get the curtain to open up since the pulley was jammed.There were plenty of toiletries, including bar soap, and then in the shower there were large bottles. There’s a coffee pot for a single cup in the room. there’s a lot of plastic single used products throughout the hotel. I wish more hotels with start phasing those out.And they also give you two complementary water bottles. In the lobby you can get these little pods to drop in them, that give you an extra vitamin boost (as you see in the pictures).I removed one star because it took the shuttle a very long time to get to us at the airport last night even though many people are waiting. And the bathroom in my room could’ve used a little extra scrubbing in the corners. There was buildup, and some mold in the corner of the shower, and where the soap dispenser holder was. I’m a bit of a stickler about that. The carpets also felt a little damp. Not that they were dirty, but just old. it felt like they should probably be renovated sometime soon maybe.The lobby in the evening had a posh look about it, but in the morning, there’s definitely some wear and tear on the furniture and walls.Oh, another reason for the negative star is that the coffee shop and restaurant are not open on the weekends and there’s no coffee in the lobby. It’s music pretty standard thing to offer, at least if you just have one for basic coffee in the lobby.If you have a layover at the airport, or you need a place to stop on your way to going somewhere, this is a totally fine hotel. I definitely don’t think that some of the unkind reviews were necessary. I would say here again at the discounted rate.

Not sure why they’ve got such a low rating but I’ve stayed here several times and it’s always pleasant! ?During my first stay, I stayed for a week; the room was clean, had all the standard appliances, comfy bed, etc.They have a gym on site (24hrs) which was a bonus for me. They have a diverse staff body(all ethnicities and ablebodiness) which I found impressive due to the location lol.It’s super close to the Airport… restaurant is accommodating but has few options for vegans. During my 2nd trip the vibe was similar. No issues.

They are working on turning this hotel around. The staff is lovely. The rooms tend to smell musty but are clean. Hopefully they can turn it around sooner than later because the location it is a great option for easy access into the airport.

Just by the airport, perfect location. Rooms are clean and beds very comfortable. The breakfast is really good, a lot better than others at the same price point. Really good value overall.

We stayed here one night last week. We got free parking and amazing service- Dominique at the front desk is AMAZING!The common areas were well kept and clean. Our room was nice and looked modern and new.I will warn anyone going for the pool that it was cold, but it connects to an outdoor pool. We found it refreshing.Would stay again.

If you make the decision to stay at this property based on the website photos, you will make a huge mistake. What the pictures do not show is everything in this supposedly remodeled property is old and out dated. The furnishing are littered with stains and dirt spots. Nothing you would want to sit on for any amount of time. The bed was comfort for a old traditional decorated room. Another personal preference, is not liking room which only provide lamps for lighting in the rooms. This is a definite sign of a dated property when they have no lighting in the ceilings. The restaurant & bar is also unwelcoming. This is my second try staying at the Delta by Marriott brand. I am unsure what category this brand attempts to fill but both my experiences have been subpar when it came to ambience and decor. The photos gives the Brand a upscale posh hotel vibe. However once you arrive you will feel duped and instantly feel you over paid to stay in this category hotel. To avoid this just simply bypass selecting any Delta by Marriott hotel.Rooms: Dated and poorly furnished. No overhead lighting, only lamp lighting in rooms.Noteworthy details: Avoid at all cost! Only stay at this property if Delta is putting you up for the night for free.

Stayed in a double room. Family of 4. The room was clean, well organized, and with plenty of space.The beds and pillows were comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the facilities looked well maintained.This was our first time in a Delta hotel and we had an excellent experience. I will add this to my list of top options for the future.The shuttle ride to the airport takes about 5 minutes. Shuttles leave every 30 minutes, so plan accordingly.I highly recommend this hotel.Rooms: Clean, with plenty of space. Really nice!

Not as modern as other Delta hotels I’ve stayed. I had high expectations. But it serves a purpose and is close to the airport. The gym is decent. The treadmills are strange in that you can’t reduce incline or speed. You have to hit stop and start all over again. And it reads mph but I think it’s kph.

When we checked in, we thought staff seen 2 nights was booked. They called next morning to see why we didn’t check out.. Thankfully I answered!! Now that’s squared away, the next morning.. 8 am staff is knocking on our door, “DO NOT DISTURB” sign fell off door handle, was laying in front of our door.. 10 am staff comes back and knocks again, your sign fell off. Never ever would I recommend this place!!! Also there is NO HOT TUB!! Oh and blood was on carpet, room 103

The couch in the lobby of the hotel has a huge stain on it. It speaks volumes of the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were subpar, and not clean as well. Needs some improvements!!!

The rooms were clean, the check in service lady was extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly. The beds and pillows were up to the Marriot standards - super comfortable. I dropped one star rating for the room because it was a little too tight for two beds and the room was extremely dim. We were staying with another couple at the hotel. Their room was much more spacious and brightly lit. The rest of our stay however was mediocre. We were stayover guests so there was no room cleaning in between, which would have been fine if we were made aware before hand. When leaving, the checkout lady lacked any sort of social/customer service skills.

The lobby looks amazing but the corridors & room are on the older side. I was expecting a more luxury feel from a Delta hotel honestly. The restaurant inside is overpriced but it's located near plenty of restaurants.
