Horrible experience! I bought a new washing machine and dryer from Sargent Appliance in Rochester. I did a load of wash and the dryer has No Heat! Now, I have to wait a week for a service call with wet clothes in my washer and dryer. Never Again!

Bought a Speed Queen dryer, and have had problems from day one. Been pawned off to a third party repair center who first told us it was our ducts. Replaced the whole duct work. Next replaced a part, and my wife overheard the tech muttering, "that doesn't look good." Replaced the part. Still no resolution. It has been a month. Will never go back to them again.

I purchased the new combo laundry washer/dryer in September. The previous owners washer quit on me.My family has been in Rochester a very long time & my late father always said to call Sergeants when I needed an appliance. I remembered that & I'm so glad I called them first.ABC warehouse wanted to charge me $600 more for the identical machine! Sargeants not only had a better price, they delivered it the next day! This single Mom highly recommends sargeants.

Ordered fridge dishwasher microwave stove. Fridge arrived with broken compressor so unable to cool. Had to argue with LG and Sargent to get a replacement fridge. Less than 2 years later have had to have three service calls on the range and now the display panel isn’t working to change oven temperature. All of these appliances are garbage that I now have to replace. My salesman was Will.

I worked with Jeff Laidlaw to get a Speed Queen washer dryer. He had the best prices in town, answered all my questions, and the units were in stock which wasn't the case at competitors. The installation guys were so helpful making everything was running beautifully and answering my questions.

Great displays to see the pieces. Ordered my fridge here, they turned 2 standard stainless appliances into a custom built in look for a fraction of what we planned on paying to get the real deal. delivered the same look with out the high end brand name price. Salesman was great.

Tried to support local business. Walked in 3 employees sitting at desk. Barely acknowledged us. No other customers in store. No one ever asked if they could assist us. As we were half out the door figuring to give our business elsewhere a salesman asks if he can help. After 30 minutes, too late. Very disappointed.

After it looked like Sears was closing down, we needed to find a new go-to store for appliances. I figured we'd shop local. Sales staff was helpful and we bought a new refrigerator, new dishwasher, new range, and a new drawer microwave. I even bought the extended warranty for the refrigerator. Yeah, that was a mistake. I've twice needed repair and I've twice had to do it myself because I could never get someone out here. When you call for extended warranty repair they give you another number to call and talk to Michelle. First time I called she said it would be like 3 weeks to get someone out to my house. For a non-operational refrigerator, that's not helpful. So I went to the appliance parts store and watched some youtube videos and fixed it myself. The second time I called, it was a similar story on repair time. So I did my homework and found that the issue was something the manufacture knew about and was covering, so I asked if they could just send me the part and I would do it myself. She said no, they need to have someone see the problem. But then she said, "wait -- I'll call the manufacturer and see what they can do; they may be able to send someone out faster." So I waited. And waited. She never called back. So again, I had to buy the part myself and youtube the repair. So I paid hundreds of dollars for an extended 5-year warranty for nothing. My fridge needs repair again and I'm just not going to bother with them. I will not shop here again, and you shouldn't either.

Not sure where to start as Michelle and John (especially John) went out of their way to solve a situation with replacing my induction cooktop, which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! I will never go back to gas. In addition, Ernie and Owen who did the install could not have been more professional, nicer and knowledgeable. I have recommended Sargent to several people who have also received incredible services and products. Thank you John for having a company that we can all rely on!

Sargent Appliance cannot be trusted. They attempted to deliver a damaged refrigerator, twice. John lied about the condition of the fridges both times. Had to drive back to the Rochester Sargent Appliance showroom on Main St. to get a refund. Waste of time and not worth the frustration.We bought a Bosch refrigerator from Sargent Appliance because they said they had it in stock and could deliver it quickly, as our Samsung fridge had quit on us. The day before the scheduled delivery John called and said the fridge was damaged and asked if we would take it at a 10% discount. We said we wanted to see the damage to decide if we would be interested. He said he would send pictures. We were concerned because the left side of the fridge would be visible in our kitchen. He never sent pictures and we got a call from someone else at Sargent Appliance saying that they would be delivering the refrigerator after 11am. We called John back asking why he never sent the pictures and he said that they went to take pictures of the damage and it was actually fine, there was no damage. We were excited. When the delivery guys showed up the fridge was badly damaged on both sides. John offered to take 15% off, but it was in really bad shape and for $3,400, we didn’t want an already damaged fridge.John had said he didn’t know when they would get another shipment of fridges in so we found another supplier who had plenty in stock and could deliver within a day. We asked John how long he thought it would be, because we had found one at another store and we badly need a fridge as we have family staying with us this weekend. He called back a few hours later and said they had a Bosch refrigerator at a different Sargent Appliance showroom that was a floor model they had only put out for two weeks and it was in “pristine” condition, no damage. He even said he’d still give us 10% off since it was a floor model. We agreed to give Sargent Appliance a chance to make it right.Two days later they show up with another damaged fridge. The delivery guys understood and put it back on the truck. We felt bad for them coming to the house twice and having to unload and reload two fridges for nothing.We tried to call John but he didn’t answer.The delivery drivers called back 10 minutes after they had left and said they talked to John and he wanted them to install the damaged fridge on the promise that they would replace it someday. But John had already lied to us twice. We didn’t feel we could trust him at his word and we knew we wouldn’t have any recourse if we took delivery of the damaged refrigerator.It’s sad because if John had just been upfront with us about the situation, we probably could have worked something out Not to mention the weeks of lost time and now having to host our family out of a cooler.We try to support small businesses and we’re pretty understanding about supply chain issues and chip shortages. But a supply chain issue didn’t force John to lie. A chip shortage didn’t force John to lie.Our sales rep was good, the delivery guys were excellent, but John is the rotten apple that spoils the whole bunch. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for your next appliance purchase.
