When we first got our pup we brought him to groomer who told us not to get our pup groomed for two months…we got to the point where we thought Mateo couldn’t see us anymore…LoLWhen we found JJ, everything changed! Mateo was bathed and cut and was totally adorable. JJ keeps him cut the way we want…when my hubby came and explained his concerns about Mateo getting poop on his tail, JJ listened and adjusted Mateo’s cut to fix the issue. We once had to take Mateo to another groomer when JJ got sick. He wanted a cut down because Mateo was going to get neutered. They didn’t cut Mateo down even after seeing a picture of how JJ does it and then cut Mateo’s nose. Two weeks later we brought Mateo back to JJ. Mateo was nervous when JJ trimmed down his face but JJ was patient with him knowing of the traumatic experience. When Mateo was done he looked like his normal groomed self.I love the staff at Petco. They have all been so friendly. They are so helpful. When I ask if they think Mateo can fit something, they will just take the clothes and place it on him. They have helped with toy suggestions. I love the staff. I know Mateo loves it there too! He will cry if no one comes to the front desk when he gets there!Love JJ as my pups groomer. I will continue to come to him furever!

My 1 yr old daughter and I stopped in at 7:15pm on a Wednesday night to ask questions about 20 gallon fish tanks and was helped by Maximilian. He was very thorough and helpful answering all our questions. Store was very clean too! Thank you so much!

Horrible customer service, grooming hours are till 6pm and I called to confirm that I was told just to walk in anytime before six and I was just going for nail trim right at the store at 5:30 and was told that the grooming section was closed and nothing they can do about it spoke to the manager, and they said they were sorry and they were sorry. Did not attempt to offer anything else. If you stop grooming at 5:30 you should let the people know that I drove for 30 minutes to get there thinking I was going to get my dogs nails trimmed never go to this place again.

Petco's much better about how they treat their in-store animals for sale than their competitors — it's a reason I shop here over other pet stores. I often see staff focused on caring for their pets for sale when I visit.

I called this location on yesterday, 7/17/23, to inquire about the VetCo vaccination clinic for my 9-week-old pup. I simply asked about pricing to get an idea of what to anticipate. The lady stated, "I'm trying to find the pricing, but I'm pretty sure it's not too bad since people always bring their pets in and tend to come back." Huh? What does that have to do with anything? Rather than saying, I'll have someone call you once they arrive; she starts rambling nonsense. I didn't go in and I won't ever go in. Part of running a business is being knowledgeable about pricing and services provided. It's a hard pass for me!

Don't let them train your puppy. I brought my 2 puppies here. They were perfect and didn't fight once. I asked if there training would help with the aggression over my cat, toys and food, the trainer said no. At the end of the class she said I'll see you next week they did great, keep practicing leave it. I got a call yesterday 2 days before my training. The trainer said she could not train them because they were aggressive mind you they were not at all during training! I do not recommend the trianing!

James, a young black man w/ glasses, was particularly polite and helpful, he provided me my p/u order, and completed my in store check out, he also guided me to the pee pads for my new kitten. :) Very nice, he thought my kitten was cute as well

I love Petco and shop here on the regular for my cat's special diet. She's an older gal, and needs a kidney friendly diet. Fortunately, Petco sells her specialty food and I'm able to swing in here to get it.The store itself is really nice, and carries a variety of product for just about everyone. I've noticed over the years that some stores are more dog heavy and don't give enough aisle space for us cat owners. Petco does! They also have adoption events on the regular along with foster organizations that have cats available for adoption when you walk in. Granted you have to go through the rescue, but I love that you can get another pet while shopping for your original pet here. They do offer grooming services but my cat doesn't need that so we don't utilize it. I don't think they have a pets hotel like Petsmart does, which is kind of a bummer. I'm not sure why they don't since it would be super useful.Occasionally they have staff shortages here so that's my only complaint. I come at odd times (Weekend mornings) so maybe that's not the most staffed timed available. Overall this place is a nice asset to Rochester Hills.

I took my grandpuppy to get a bath, trim and get his nails trimmed. He is a Shiba-Husky mix, and his tail curls up,to a point and touches his backside. For some reason the person that did his service thought it would be a good idea to chop the point off. Not happy about that at all.He didn't smell like he had a fresh bath either.Off to finding somewhere else. You may have to zoom in, but a blunt cut on a tail that should be pointy??Not happy about it and neither was my son.
