I am deeply grateful for Dr. Monica, who has been amazing in caring for my dogs. He not only brings remarkable expertise but also a pure heart and genuine compassion. From our very first visit, Dr. Monica took the time to connect with my dogs and truly understand their needs. It’s clear how much he cares, going above and beyond to ensure I feel informed and reassured every step of the way.
His unique blend of knowledge and kindness gives me complete trust and peace of mind. The staff at Oakland Animal Hospital is also fantastic—welcoming, attentive, and always supportive. I’m so thankful to have Dr. Monica and his team, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dogs’ care !

Cannot say enough wonderful things about Oakland Animal Hospital. Our primary veterinarian referred us here for my dogs knee surgery. The hour drive was well worth it. The front staff was welcoming, the doctor was knowledgeable and the techs were great at the follow up visits. We received top notch care at a very reasonable cost!! Thank you to the entire staff for taking such good care of our fur-baby and making this process seamless!!!!!

Been going to OAH for last 10 years with my three puppies and two cats, they are fantastic….from the front desk ladies to the vet techs to the docs, they are all very attentive, caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend!!

Very happy with my experience at Oakland Animal Hospital. I am an anxious dog mom with a lot of questions and Sheena (receptionist I think?) was always so kind and patient with me. My dog is reactive at the vet, but OAH was very understanding and didn’t make me feel judged for this. We always have to sedate her at her appointments and it could have not gone smoother here. Dr. Duncan did an amazing job on her TPLO surgery and the cost was 2k less than other specialty hospitals. Because my dog is so anxious, Dr. Duncan was accommodating and offered zoom meetings for her physical therapy appointments after her surgery. We received very easy to follow after surgery notes. We are very happy to have come here. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone!

We brought in a stool sample for our sick puppy and were told it was all normal and to feed her boiled chicken. It turns out this vet did not run proper tests on the sample, our dog got sicker, and after taking her to a new vet her samples showed a parasitic infection. This vet is extremely difficult to schedule appointments for sick pets and puts animals in danger by the poor care they give. Would never recommend this vet.

The staff is incredible rude. I was shocked to see this behavior in a vet's office. They didn't explain the procedure for my cats. They just took them in the back and then brought them back to me. No interactions with the cats. Then, of course, the vet came back and told me all about things that need to be done with the cats that cost outrageous amounts. Definitely will not be going back to this place unless they get new staff.

Took my two puppies here for the first time last week. Dr Morgan was wonderful and patient and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable with my new puppies !

We took our 10 year old Golden Doodle to Dr Duncan for his 2nd TPLO surgery in the past year. Unfortunately due to wait times the year prior we had taken him elsewhere for his first one. Our experience at OAH was amazing! The cost was much more reasonable relative to our first one and the overall quality of the procedure was even better. The entire staff was friendly and caring. Our dog's recovery went better than the year prior and the after care included several physical therapy consultations which were very helpful. All in all, I can't say enough good things about this vet office and of Dr Duncan. They provide top notch services at very reasonable prices, we HIGHLY recommend OAH for any surgical procedures for your pets (I'm sure their regular veterinary services are awesome too but I can't speak to those).

I love all of the Veterinarians here. They have all taken such good care of my pets and are very kind, knowledgeable & compassionate. They always give me the time I need to make any difficult decisions and always answer any questions without making me feel rushed. They really show they care and that is what brings me back time and time again.

The majority of vet techs and vets are absolutely great. I had a bad experience with Dr Williams yesterday who seemed to be more interested in scolding us than caring for our dog. If she were the only vet I would not recommend her. Fortunately there are other good people there.
