“Loved my stay at Royal Hotel in Rochester. I especially enjoyed the staff. Came in from a late night flight and Bianca was very nice and checked me in quickly. We had a meeting and Will from the AV team was responsive and helped us every step of the way. He helped make the meeting special. He felt like one of the crew. I think Reece helped me when I had to switch rooms. The gym was great it has all the right equipment. Ruth and Lori were the icing on the cake. They helped me check out and had great conversation. I left feeling cared for and with genuine interactions. Oh and also the food was pretty good at the restaurant. This hotel has 5 star service ?Rooms: Rooms were clean. Great bathroomWalkability: Very close to Main Street with so much food and hometown feel.Noteworthy details: Friendly, genuine, personable, royal staff”

“Everything we could have hoped for and more! Just looking for a few days away, change of scenery and no chores to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Our stay was incredible! Jan and Mark do such a lovely job with all the details! The love and care that went into the renovations is obvious! As someone who is always cold, all the spaces were comfy and cozy! The breakfasts were just what we were looking for: delicious, filling, and alittle on the gourmet side. Even the social interaction was the perfect note so friendly, but we had all the privacy we could have asked for! Looking forward to going back~ highly recommend!”

“Stayed here for a few nights after a last-minute change in plans and the staff was kind and helpful; rooms are updated and comfy; housekeeping was prompt and really friendly! Had a little goodie bag of snacks and waters in our room with a handwritten note from one of the GMs too. Arriving late, this was a welcome surprise to have a “no fuss” experience. By the way, the Gym here is amazing! It had several treadmills, a Peloton bike, and a weight rack/Cable pulley machine. Was definitely a welcome surprise for me and my husband!Nearby activities: Super close to Somerset mall, highway (I-75), library, restaurants, etc.”

“First time staying here and definitely not the last. The room was absolutely beautiful and the art work all around the hotel was just incredible.This was the first hotel to truly go above and beyond for my dog. Once we settled into the room someone brought up a mat with two bowls, a bottle of water and a nice rope toy for my puppers. As well as a nice plush dog bed.The workers at the valet desk gave her plenty of treats that were home made from a local bakery.I highly recommend this hotel.”

“This is what a hotel stay should always be like! I'm very picky when it comes to cleanliness but these rooms absolutely exceeded my expectations. The beds were on the firmer side but comfortable. The bathroom was clean and everything was functional. The customer service we received was also phenomenal we felt welcomed and taken care of throughout out stay. They even had ear plugs at the front desk along with various complimentary items. Easily one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I will be back!Safety: Entrances and elevators locked at night and you have to use your key card to scan in. Made me feel safer as a female traveler.”

“We stayed for 5 nights over the July 4th weekend. The room was spacious and clean. There is a kitchen area with a 2 burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. The sink has a disposal. The full size refrigerator has an ice maker. There are dishes, pots, and cutlery. The large desk/work area has plenty of outlets. The hotel is quiet. It was full, but never loud. The complimentary laundry facilities were clean, as was the workout room. Maid service is once a week, but you can exchange towels/linens every day if needed. I would stay there againSafety: Very safe”

“We only stayed one night, but it was pleasant. There were no surprises, which is exactly what I want from a hotel.The room was clean. The furniture looks like it was reasonably updated. Sheets and towels were clean. The bed and sheets were comfortable. There are some nice details as well, like the reading lights and USB ports at both sides of the bed.The staff were friendly, and we received text messages checking up on us at the beginning of our stay. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and free.I have no major criticisms. Troy (and Clawson) are not pedestrian-friendly, but that's not the hotel's fault. If you're a light sleeper, it's worth keeping in mind that the air conditioner is the smaller variety and they can be a little noisy. Ours was on the louder side, but it wasn't too bad and we slept just fine.The bathrooms are excellent. Like the room itself, they have been updated recently. The lights flanking the bathroom mirror are another nice touch - my fiancée found it very helpful when applying makeup. The shower is tall-person friendly, which is greatly appreciated.This is a hotel. It does its job well. It is comfortable, clean, quiet, and reasonably priced.Rooms: Recently updated with some nice touches, like reading lights and USB charging ports.”

“I would recommend this hotel. Do not book at Baymont, which is literally next to this hotel. This hotel is cleaner and no smell of pot in the building. It is safe. Family friendly. The pool was nice. The hotel is much more updated than Baymont. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is that the hotel doesn't offer continental breakfast, which a lot of nice hotels usually offer. The mini fridge was too small and has no microwave in the rooms. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.Rooms: The room was clean and neat. The important part of the room is the bathroom for me and the bathroom was clean and the tub was scrubbed.”

“I stayed here last week due to my normal hotel being booked. The overall facility was nice and relatively clean. They advertise an onsite restaurant which after traveling all day was a positive. However, after checking in and going down to eat at about 6:30, I was told the chef hadn’t shown up yet. So I had to go back out to eat. The next morning at 6:50 the breakfast bar (which I paid extra to have) was just partially set up. The following morning at the same time the breakfast area was still dark. I checked out and asked for a refund for the money spent on breakfast. I was told it would be credited, but nearly a week later it hasn’t been. The clerk even wrote in my invoice it would be credited by manager. The front desk clerk at check out was rude and dismissive.I won’t be back!”

“This hotel is nice inside than what it looks from the exterior, I was shocked at the pricing of the rooms. The cost was higher here than other "luxury" hotels and the rooms are smaller, the rooms are very nice just small. The restaurant was nice, good food with a good selection, everyone was very pleasant with a sense of humor.”

The breakfast is excellent and the rooms are the best I enjoy having that extra living room space. The Embassy is a very great place to stay, have engaged such as a family reunion or class reunion.”

“We drove from Illinois last minute for a funeral. No reservation and I can't say enough about this hidden gem. Clean, up to date, friendly and the service was above and beyond. The staff took time to talk and get to know us and offered true condolences. Definitely staying there again when we visit for the opening of The Legasea Aqarium.”

“My family and I stayed here and it was perfect! We have two small kids so the breakfast was a huge hit with them. The staff was super friendly and helpful.The rooms were very clean and the bed was AMAZING! I told my husband I would miss the bed the most! The rooms are cleaned daily and the kitchen is great! It has a full size refrigerator and dishwasher, microwave and stove (ours had two burners-no oven) This was probably one of the coziest places we have ever stayed.Breakfast is made fresh daily. The grounds are kept nice and clean. We loved it so much we booked another trip 5 weeks from now.I can’t wait to go back!Noteworthy details: The staff was sooo nice! If we needed anything, they were on top of it. The ladies who make the breakfast are so nice!! My boys were in love with the bacon and waffles.”

“Before finalizing any trip, I do a quick check on a few sites, including HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm My last trip was surprisingly affordable after that bit of research. Maggie was super professional, and despite it being 4 a.m she made me feel comfortable even when the guests were "hard to deal with". Not once did she step out of character or loose her cool. Furthermore, even though I'm 1200 miles from home, Maggie made my visit feel welcomed and genuine.This woman goes above and beyond for guests!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling this way. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ? ? ?”

“Each time I visit this hotel it’s a great place to stay when on a business/work related trip, rooms always clean & in a quiet area. Staff do a fantastic job as well. Even better that it’s directly across the street from my work site. I’ll indeed return for future site visits. ?Rooms: The rooms are always clean & available for use upon arrival.Safety: Very quiet & safe area, no issues.Walkability: Within walking distance to work site when visiting (for me).”

“My room was very well put together and clean I only have a few recommendations I would love to have a smart TV so that I can watch my prime and streaming apps also the carpets in halls and rooms needs cleaned they r stained and dingy due to all the workers that stay here and track mud in on there boots and putting a microwave in rooms. The breakfast is good but everyday it's the same thing I would love to see biscuitsand gravy bacon and cheese omelets or scrambled eggs.Noteworthy details: There's two housekeepers that work here that do an amazing job here and will always go above and beyond at there jobs and always very polite and do there job with a smile thank u ladies for all u do to make travelers feel welcome and at home keep up the great work Mandy and Leilani ?”

“Overall, the stay was enjoyable! I was a bit surprised there was not a kitchenette in my suite. In addition, it seems there were some plumbing issues above the toilet area in the bathroom. It seemed to be taken care of before my arrival, but the ceiling repair still needs some repair. There seems to be some need for a closet door in the bathroom area behind in the mirror by the sink. As for the suite area, some better furniture would make it more homey for those staying there. The arrival area was OK, but it seemed customers were milling around trying to decide where to get to their rooms. I also noticed there were 2 elevators, but it appeared that only one was operational. It also appeared that the AC in the dining room atrium was also not operating well. On my ride up, I observed numerous diners fanning themselves from the heat. This seemed to be not in keeping with Hilton policies of comfort. The hallways were very warm as well. Fortunately, the room was relatively comfortable upon my arrival.I will consider staying again if my future plans warrant me to do so. However, I feel some of these issues need to be resolved for me to do so. Let's see what can be done!”

“On a serious note, I’ve been without a place to stay since the beginning of January. This is the only place I know that will look out and help you as long as you pay. I love the manager. He’s a really good guy down to earth. I love the staff I love the hotel. I recommend is five stars really good place to stay is quiet it’s clean rooms are nice beds are nice I really like this hotel. If I could I will give it 10 stars keep up the good work guys.”

“OLD MOLDY FOOD found in our room behind the microwave! It had to be there for months and if bugs wanted to infest this would have been perfect for infestation. Room smelled, hot tub was broke and just disgusting!!!!”
