The buying experience was fine enough. The sterile look of the store didn't dissuade me from making the purchase, but might others. Andre was professional even though a little over sell I thought. I'd certainly buy from them again and that's the main thing.

I worked in collaboration with Rachael (Rochester location) and Andrew (Utica). You are in great hands with both, as they truly delivered exceptional customer service and took tremendous care in matching my budget with mattress and frame that suited my needs. Rachael is extremely patient and highly knowledgeable in terms of understanding the distinct features among the various product lines. She is an simply amazing. Drew is also engaging and personalble. You can't go wrong with either. I encourage everyone to test out their products in a showroom near you. Wonderful experience.

Overall experience at the American Mattress in Rochester Hills was an unpleasant experience. We bought a mattress and scheduled a delivery for the following Friday and after that we were met with several calls informing us of a delay of our shipment and the mattress finally arrived almost a month after it was initially supposed to. And after numerous calls to the store trying to get in contact with the manager Rachel I had to resort to writing this…
The mattress we received was great but the customer service was very subpar. Will be going to a different company for my next purchase.

Michelle was very nice and helpful. I was looking for a mattress for my daughter. She liked one until Michelle referred to another one that was the same style but a lot more reasonable price. Definitely would go back in the future. ?

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience with getting a mattress from Rachel! She was friendly, super helpful, gave me every bit of information I needed and gave me faith in buy mattresses again.
I've been using the same one forever but we went in and instead of trying to sell the highest priced best option bed immediately, she asked how I sleep, my price range, and gave me multiple options that suited those needs.
Thank you Rachel for being amazing, I will definitely be referring anyone looking for a bed to come here!

Rachel demonstrated exceptional knowledge, listened to, and answered every question. However, she did way more, as she basically gave me a “how-to-select-course”, in selecting a mattress. Due to her expertise, I feel prepared to make an informed choice.
For example, when I described my sleep experiences, especially with the bed heating up, her explanation of the time-of-night and sleep-stage, were spot on. She was uncanny, and accurate, as her explanations mirrored my real life experiences.
It was incredibly refreshing to meet a sales representative that seemed genuinely interested in educating, and helping me make my best choice, as opposed to the, “just making a sell” rep!

Sales experience was wonderful with a very informed American Matress Rep. Spent a long time with us answering questions and then was pleasant when we said we were not buying until we had time to talk and research on our own. We did all of that and returned to ask more questions and finally purchase. Delivery was as specified and delivery men were excellent. Thanks to all that made this experience very enjoyable.
