Best gym around the US to be honest, bang for your buck wise. By far cleanest gym you'll see for the price it is per month/year. Would leave 5 stars if you guys were actually a 24/7 365 gym again! Whole reason why I joined in the first place, years ago.

Edge of Rochester Hills is fantastic - very clean, organized and pleasant. There's a very positive atmosphere. Also, I had a complicated billing issue that District Director Andrew P. handled very calmly, professionally and expeditiously which I greatly appreciated. He really listened and quickly understood the details. Again, this Edge is a great place all around to improve health.

I only go to this gym because it’s the closest but wow people are selfish here and not friendly, competitive vibes and it’s awful. I just went and every-time I was on a machine some big man just stood in-front of me less than a foot just staring and I get off to let people know I am quick and don’t hog and let people work in but then they sit on the machine for like 5 mins and I could’ve done my workout, in the evening some people treat this place like a social gathering, also to hog machines or dumbbells for over 30 mins without using them shouldn’t be normal but unfortunately it is at this gym, for months I’ve been wanting to cancel but I’m stuck in a contract but I would never recommend this gym location ever.

Male instructors try to pick up Female customers by telling them how great they are doing and how much they are improving. By telling them how great their doing and how much they are improving.

I wish they would open another one nearby. This one is always so busy there’s never any open machines.

Don't sign up for this gym. They will charge you membership fees after your contract is expired and wont work with you on getting them resolved. I don't understand what the financial people do here given everything runs through a debt collection agency which is already a red flag. Save your time and money and work out somewhere else.

Edge Fitness Club in Rochester Hills, MI, is truly outstanding, thanks to Dorian's exceptional leadership. The respectful environment and immaculate cleanliness in every corner make it the best gym in Michigan. Dorian and her amazing team ensure every member feels welcomed and supported. Thank you, Edge Fitness Club, for setting such a high standard!

The gym equipment is great. Business is greedy. Oversold memberships, can’t get a proper workout in. Cancelled my membership.

I want to start by saying the facilities and the gym atmosphere are fine, this review is due to the customer service and backend paperwork experience.
TLDR: DO NOT listen to what anyone on the desk side tells you that you are signing. Make sure to read it yourself, request a print out and take it home if you have to.
I was told I was signing up for a non contract membership that could be canceled or frozen at any time. Not only was my membership contracted, it also was intelligible to even be frozen as advertised.
I used this gym due to its convenient location to my home, I lived 3 minutes away. Now, I've moved and there's no longer a convenient location for me to go to. I went to switch to a new gym, that was 3 minutes away from my new residence, only to find out that I still have to make 12 more months of payments because my membership was contracted despite what I was told.
They do have a clause to allow a contract to be broken, but you have to live 15 or 25 miles away from the nearest Edge Fitness. I'm not sure which one as I was told both throughout my process of trying to cancel via email, call center, and in person.
Their call center is another point of criticism I have. They outsource their calls to a call center that services multiple gyms. Meaning they're not up to date on this specific gyms policies and can provide outdated or incorrect information. I wouldn't suggest dealing with the email support or call center support team if you can avoid it. Just go in person and see someone on the desk side. You'll get a much more accurate and concise answer that way.
So now I'm stuck with this membership I won't be able to use frequently for another year with no path of recourse because I was lied to when signing up. I'm really disappointed because of the no contract membership and the ability to freeze your payments were the only reason I felt comfortable signing up for this gym the same day I sat down with someone to get more information on the gym.
All that being said, if you make sure to understand what you're signing or have a desk side employee who actually knows what they're talking about and are honest, then you should enjoy this gym. Just use extra caution before signing anything.

Absolutely abysmally run establishment. The stair steppers have been out for like a year. Sauna is out half the time. Equipment wait times are a joke. Oh but there's a movie theatre that no one ever uses. And a CrossFit room basically no one can use? It's like there are a bunch of high school students that own this place. When equipment goes down, they need to scrap together cash to try and fix it. But they don't have the cash, so it all falls apart. At some point, you would think shame would set in. But they tell the employees to tell members "it'll be replaced in a month" for 8 months straight. Here's an idea: increase your membership dues, get rid of the dumb af movie theatre and charge a premium for the CrossFit room. I am embarrassed for the employees. Amazing people. And they have to deal with the problems the owners have caused and clean up their trash for them. Chapter 11 seems imminent. Let's hope sooner than later. Rochester needs solid run businesses and proud owners. Chase these people out of town, ASAP.

I’ll remove my review when the stair steppers and sauna are fixed. How is this possible?
