It’s almost hard to describe / believe my experience with Saber Tactical this far, which is the basis for the review. I will provide an final update when a resolution has been provided by the company.8/23 - Originally dropped of my S&W pistol with a customer purchased and provided Apex trigger kit ($180) for an upgrade and replacement of the factory trigger. While I had discussed with the guys the possibility of having a red dot installed, this was not confirmed nor was it wrote on the write up / intake sheet or even provided by myself at drop off. I left with the understanding the trigger would be the only work done and it could take a few weeks, maybe a month or so. After 5 weeks of no update, I follow up asking for an update, and was told maybe another week or so.9/11/23 - I follow up and leave a voicemail requesting an update on the status.9/12/23 - I received a voicemail from the shop asking what type of Cerakote I would like after the machining is done on my pistol for the red dot. I am now confused / concerned at this point in time since there was never "supposed to be" any machining type work done, just the trigger. I call back and clarify this and reiterate I am just looking for the trigger install / replacement.9/30 - Follow up but no answer / voicemail inbox is full. Sent a text asking for an update but not response.10/12/23 - I luckily had the day off and decide to physically go to the store to ask for an update. And boy did I get one. After talking with the guys in there, it turns out Saber Tactical LOST the Apex trigger kit that I originally provided on 8/23 at drop off. I'm dumbfounded. I understand that mistakes happen, staffing can be tough and things go wrong, but surely losing the $180 customer provided trigger and then not telling me until I physically went into the store almost 6 weeks later is unacceptable.The shop has agreed to purchase a replacement Apex trigger kit, and while it is appreciated, it is the bare minimum expected. If there is no resolution within the next week I will have no choice but to contact the Michigan Better Business Bureau and try to recoup my damages / loss.I am a pretty reasonable person, and while I would have been justified to raise hell, I left letting the shop know how disappointed I was. My experience has made it impossible for me to recommend this shop to my friends or anyone in the gun community. I am eagerly awaiting a resolution and my pistol back.

This is a fine shop, overseen by men who know their craft and love the flag, based on my personal experience there. First, they're friendly and patient. Second, I submitted a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS with parts to install, including Trijicon HD XR night sights and other upgrades -- the work product was excellent to be sure. Further, it was clear to me these gunsmiths have a wide knowledge base, because they were able to address my follow-up questions about my H&K. Gunowners interested in self-defense need to know that their firearms are in good hands and will be worked on by the best. Go with these guys. Can't go wrong. I am definitely bringing my other items to them to look at.

It's a shame to be writing this review - but I just cant bring my stuff to these guys anymore.The first time I dropped off some parts to be cerakoted - told wait time is two weeks, a month and a half later I'm calling to follow up with them - and they didnt do them - they did do them right away after I called, but should I really have to call? They also forgot to laser etch something they were supposed to - he offered to do it while I waited but I didnt feel like waiting.The second time I dropped off a bolt action rifle to be re-barreled, I had the brand new barrel + the barrel nut for them. They just had to change it out and check headspacing. Again, lead time two weeks - after a month and a half or two months - I call. No, they haven't completed it. They're waiting on a part for their tool.I pulled the gun out of the shop. Now I'm behind another shops queue for the work to be completed because saber put me in a tough position - because this was for a trip in a month here - so I'm hoping I can get it done in time, or my trip is going to be dead.They're nice guys - and they seem to be knowledgeable about what they do - but as far as lead times, follow up, and completion of work - they're severely lacking. Hope they can improve!

Went in with a small problem on my AKs charging handle. Steve helped me out on the spot, fixed it in 5 minutes and didn't charge me anything. 2 other gentleman were there who I forgot to get the names of, and they were all very polite and informative. Great place

The guys at Sabre are absolutely the go to resource for anything AR and the rest of your gunsmithing needs. Steve runs a great shop and his employees especially Daniel are skillful, analytical and fonts of gunsmithing knowledge. They get my highest recommendation!

Had my rifle rebarreled, the barrel cerakoted, and a muzzle device pinned and welded. Excellent workmanship done by the crew at STI and I couldn't be happier with the finished result.

Gracious service and great results! I dropped off my project after cross-threading and marring my receiver trying to install a new magazine tube. They fixed me up and kept me updated, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s a small shop, but the staff knows their stuff and were incredibly kind and pleasant to work with. I will absolutely make the drive out and trust them with my future projects! 10/10 would recommend as someone trustworthy for whatever you need taken care of.

Steve at Saber Tactical did an awesome job on the cerakote for my Desert Eagle. This was a top notch experience rom design to implementation to completion. I would highly recommend him.

Can’t say enough good things about this company. Workmanship is amazing, good folks to talk to, and fast turnaround time for the weld. With pin and welding possibly being a big things I the future I got an assembled upper pin and welded. They made sure the timing for device was where I wanted it and had it ready super fast. Stellar folks ?

Saber Tactical is hands down, 5 star! They treat you like family and are always willing to lend a helping hand when you're in a jam halfway through a project or need some advice. Steve and Adam are awesome. They machine and build all their own parts (receivers, barrels, full AR, etc) right in house, HERE IN ROCHESTER HILLS! I am doing custom build with their own machines parts. Can't wait! They literally are a hidden gem here in Rochester Hills. Great family business accommodating to all your needs! If you haven't already, check them out!!
