So I have gone to Papa Joe's since it opened in like 2007/2008 (I think that was the date), needless to say for SEVERAL years. When I went 2 days ago, I was sad to see the store the way it was. I remember how much detail Joe and his brothers used to take of this store. Crystal, the manager, is and was a God send to that job.So when I pulled in immediately, I noticed I was 1 of the 15-20 cars in the whole parking lot. Then when I went in immediately I saw dirty glass, un organized gourmet to go foods, empty dishes, no greenery in display, bakery area had one worker who was friendly but she did tell me that they no longer offer cannolis (I was surprised as it is an Italian owed grocer), moving on to gourmet to go, I was shocked at where the product was, like I said, unorganized, empty dishes, or dishes that need to be downsized with other items, 2 kids working counter, I waited by soup area for almost 7 or 8 minutes until I was noticed. Was thrilled to see they still have the classic Mushroom Soup. Across the way, bread department- closed off, no worker, again empty display, they had a few papa rolls and foccaccia already bagged for sale, they had 1 roll by the soup for 1.99 kind of steep. They did raise prices, so you'd think they could at least give the roll. Regardless, as I kept going, i passed the kabob grill (he was the busiest section that I saw with people ordering), I then passed the deli, which was decently full of products and such. No customers waiting. Moving forward, figured I'd hit the meat counter for a couple of nice steaks, right away big white paper with yellow neon green writing- Grinder is broken, no ground beef available...I was surprised to see that tacky note in such a high end grocery store (or for what I use to know it is). Steaks were minimum $25/LB I ended up getting some stewing beef, frozen aisle and grocery aisles were full and maintained and all items were pushed forward and organized (this has always been good thru the years at papa joes). I feel sir r y to w r te this review, I will still be a customer but for the care of the business, the brothers need to look at a fee things going on in their business and figure it out. I wish them all the best, as a business person, I know everything is so expensive, but at the end of the day, we have to uphold our quality and superiority over other places! If Crystal doesn't work anymore, BRING HER BACK. She used to make that store shine, and everyone feared her,aThanks again for reading! Will update on Friday!

Update: They did finally reach out and ended up catering our event. Food was really good but I wish the sandwiches were all put on separate dishes so we could label them. The vegetarian sandwiches relaxed in with the sandwiches with meat. Overall everything tasted good.I will admit that I contacted them close to my event to cater. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem and to pick out the menu. I did that and submitted it and never heard from them again. Four days before my event now and I have to find a new caterer. Apparently Amanda is the manager of that department and I can't go above to complain to anyone. If you don't want to take the job don't say you can do it.

The management is cheap and the seafood soup is overpriced! The last few times, there were no seafood ingredients in it. It seemed more like a vegetable soup with mostly just broth. The counter person scoop the ladle to the bottom of the container well, but later I realized there was no seafood in it. Not only has the store management stopped offering free rolls with a large soup, but they are also being stingy with the ingredients. I'm going back to Papa Joe's!

Worst customer service ever I will never go back here again.. Your hours are clearly posted on the door. Your hours do not say meat department closes at this time … Your hours say the store closes at a certain time.. very very sarcastic, meat, counter, guy, and very sarcastic manager as well

This is the very first time I ever wrote a review in my life. I have been going to papa joes for 10+ years and their quality of food and service has always been great. Today I went to purchase groceries and had this one lady at the cash register completely and utterly rude. She legit threw my food in the bags. She mixed in, in one bag soup, a Bundt cake, an oranges like it was nothing. I stopped her and said hey, my soup in this bag is going to spill and it’s going to ruin this Bundt cake. She looked at me grabbed another plastic bag and tossed it to me saying “whatever you want, whatever you want.” I said, Mam? I am spending over $100 worth of food here what happened to the quality? Again responds, "whatever you want, whatever you want." she then grabs my sliders that I purchased removed the lid, and TOSS THEM IN ANOTHER BAG. She gives me my receipt then leaves the counter!!! ??? This lady should be fired for the lack of respect!

OMG! What has happened to the Chicken Noodle Soup? The large is up to $12 and tastes horrific. Super Duper salty, tinsy bit of chicken, dark meat instead breast meat. A giant Bay leaf was in my soup?? Tiny cubes of carrots. Clearly this is not their usual recipe.. This is a sad day, I have a cold but there is no way that I'm sippping this super, salty broth. YUK! ?

I drive 40 miles just to come here. They have an ample supply of gluten-free items. And in the fall, huge pomegranates. :) ?
