Love both coursesnot a single house on the course. It's like going up north, without the long drive

Beautiful architecture. You will feel like you are in Gaylord MI on these courses. HUGE amounts of land so every hole is secluded by tall trees from the next. The clubhouse and bar/restaurant give an old world feel. Amazing 2nd story patio overlooking the 18th green and 1st tee box. The staff is terrific and the courses are in fantastic shape. Greens are fast. My only complaint is that they do not have an ATM on site.

Played Katke for the first time this year and you would think you would get basic maintenance with raked bunkers, cut greens and a full 18 hole golf course for a $110 guest fee. Instead you get a temporary green on the 10th hole, unattended bunkers with compacted sand and weeds growing around them and uncut greens. It's very unfortunate but this has been the issue with OU's premium golf courses the last few years or so. Maintenance is not a priority to them yet they keep raising the price positioning themselves like a private club. What used to be premier championship golf courses with great greens and conditions has turned into neglect, slow muddy greens, weeds everywhere and bunkers that haven't been raked since the beginning of Covid. My hope is that someone opens their eyes and gets these courses turned around. They should put more money into maintenance and stop the decline of what's been happening to those courses the last few years.

I love this golf club! The staff and members are extremely friendly and welcoming! I joined the ladies league - first time joining a golf league - and the ladies have been encouraging, inspiring and fun! I look forward to every round I play on these two amazing courses!

I have two advanced degrees from OU. Currently enrolled in fall classes to finish up my MBA, yet I still can’t golf Katke Cousins because I’m not currently in summer classes? I don’t know when this policy changed or if I have just been given false information but the administrative side of OU golf has always been a disaster. Sad when a life long grizzly can’t even golf their own course

Very nice course, facilities, and staff. Except for the starter, Dan, who sits in his cart, stares down patrons, and barks orders. Why so miserable, Dan?

Let me start by saying I have golfed all over the United States and several other countries and truly love the game. I also will rate everything from Restaurants, retail stores, Fine Dining and off course golf courses. During our visit to Oakland University golf course the first thing I noticed was how beautiful the buildings and restaurant was. Beautiful entry way leading into the course was amazing and looking forward to a great day. However things turned bad when talking to several staff members in the pro shop. All not just one but all staff members in the pro shop were extremely rude. I was interested in buying my son a new driver. I had to ask several times how much everything was because there were no prices on anything in the pro shop. After asking about 3 seperate Drivers and them not knowing I finally decided to move on and start our round. We approached the Start that was outside the pro shop and he said were is my recipe. I told him we just walked out of the pro shop and payed but no receipt. He said he would have to check and to wait. So after 20 mins of waiting while he attempted to call the pro shop a young lady walked out handed me a recipe and walked away not saying a word. Finally we made our way to the first tee to start our round. Now comes the golf course review from someone who has played thousands of golf rounds. The course is terrible in everyway shape and form. The landscape is just terrible when you get on the course with the rough area full of debris. When you drive into the gold course the buildings WOW you but the course is way below the $75.00 a round fee. No balls washers, water or ever a cart person for water on the course. We finally made it to the turn and walked to the clubhouse for water just to find out the doors were locked and everything was closed at 5:45 pm on a Friday. I did find the starter and wanted to find out where we could get some water. He stated everything is closed but they do have drinking fountains on the wall of the clubhouse but they are not working ?. Since we at this point we were both getting dehydrated we decided to end our day. I was upset at this point so I asked the starter for a refund. He called the clubhouse and several mins later a lady walked out and approached us. She handed to a recipe. I asked what this was as she was walking away from us. She continued to walk away from us but did turn her head and say it was a RAIN CHECK DON'T LOOSE IT.I'm sure we were not the only people that have had a bad experience at this course. My review given was a 2 and that was because me and my son were together or I would have given a zero. Now on a good note Luckys Steak House on the corner outside the Colf course was amazing and the customer service is a 10.
