Manager mike k Don't v even know if that is his real name , rude, unprofessional, asked for names of employees and wouldn't produce. Giving 0 stars would recommend Lowe's, Menards or any local hardware. I've been going to Home Depot for 30 years spend on average 2000 a week and all they want to do is treat you like a common theft, finally had enough will never go to another Home Depot

I bought a front door in early June 2022, got it installed in End of August and the installer discovered that the door was warped. They also botched the install. I have submitted a warranty replacement claim with additional issues and the warped door issue and now 3 months later there has been no action. I leave message after message, but get no call back. In the end, the only way to get any feedback is to go there in person. Worst customer service, customer care and warranty handling I have experienced.

I am a 75 year old widow. My refrigerator broke and I went to Home Depot to purchase a new refrigerator and matching stove and microwave. I gave the salesman my criteria and dimensions. They didn't have the appliances I wanted on the floor so the salesman ordered them online. When they were delivered the first problem was the microwave didn't fit. I guess I was suppose to send it back but didn't know that at the time. Then the refrigerator was to deep for the room. The stove and refrigerator were a totally different color. I notified the store within 24 hours and they refused to do anything. I am not trying to take advantage..I would pay a restock fee and order proper fitting appliances. But they wouldn't even listen to me. So I have a brand new microwave sitting in my garage I can't use. Poor customer service.

Review from a Gardner: I get most of my standard pots, soil, and fertilizer here--prices are very inexpensive and they have lot's of specific quality brands for things like cactus soil and root hormone. But if I want specialty or decorative pots, I go to one of the nearby local garden centers as they don't carry much variety like that here. I also do NOT get plants here, I've seen mites and gnats hanging on them. Home Depot is not primarily a garden store so they probably don't have someone dedicated to keeping their plants healthy. Outside of gardening, the store has great pricing on grilling goods and whatnot. I recently loaded up on a bunch of moving boxes, bubble wrap, etc. and it was about $40.

I hate to be that customer, but I must inform other customers on the problems with Home Depot’s sales, delivery and installation departments. TLDR: Dismissive management (one manager), racism against immigrants (mocking customers for the lack of English comprehension), incompetent delivery and installation, and sketchy Third party hidden fees not disclosed during purchase. I Purchased a dishwasher on Sept 2 but received a faulty product two weeks later, and the contracted plumber sent to check out the product damaged our home’s electric wiring and still charged us $50. Costs like these were not mentioned during the sale, and when I informed one of the manager Colleen, she was condescending, and did nothing about the mysterious $50 charge (even though they damaged our electric work as assessed by an independent electrician.) This shows that management does not care about miscellaneous charges from third party despite contractual agreements to install the product. We were upset, but we just wanted our washer so we didn’t say anything else until today. When the third party installers came, they refused to install because they were on a “strict timeline”, and we didn’t move the faulty washer out of the way. First off, we left the washer as is because that was how the plumber left it, and We didn’t want to touch it in fear that more equipment would be damaged. Secondly, we paid Home Depot for the installers to take out the washer and install a new one. (By the way, they didn’t even take the original washer the first time before installing the faulty washer— something we had paid for.) In summary, not only did we wait 1 month, but we received terrible service from installers who were unprofessional, crass (one of them cussed at me using the “f” word, and mocked my father about his lack of English skills. We are people of color of a different ethnic background, and I was so shocked to hear what he had said to me despite me trying to reason with him), and didn’t complete their job. Today we requested a full refund and have received a better deal from ABC warehouse. Home Depot needs to improve their installation and delivery policy, and seriously consider restructuring delivery and installation. Perhaps negotiate more flexible delivery services so that installers are not pressured and stressed from an extremely tight schedule? Implement training for third party on Home Depot policies? (For instance third party failed to take our old washer despite that being on our agreement, and mocking clients for their ethnic background— of which is absolutely unacceptable.) With incompetent individuals as these, you will continue to lose customers. We wanted to buy more appliances, but will no longer do so. Buyers beware (especially if you are a first or second generation immigrant.)

There is a plumbing guy....by far the most helpful, most knowledgeable person I've ever dealt with in any of the stores. That's where it stops. I have a construction company, so often times I'll go myself to the lumber, decking, roofing etc and in those sections it has never been an experience even remotely tolerable. We ALL are having employee issue, but when I have guys working for me that get paid hourly and even they complain about the service...come on HD you can't do better??

The store manager, Juanita is by far one of thee best store managers at any Home Depot I've been too. I'm a landscape designer and she helps me order exotic plants and tropicals for my projects and is extremely helpful. I honestly can't say enough good things about her because she went above and beyond for me. I will be working with her closely from now and on to get all my tropicals and plant products from her at the Rochester hills Home Depot. Thanks Juanita

Worst customer service on the planet! I Called several times to speak to a supervisor about an online order that I did not receive. I was placed on a lengthy hold each time I called and eventually disconnected. This company clearly does not care about customer service!

Pathetic This store deserves 0 stars. I was waiting at a locked tool display. There was a young man helping a MAN next to me. The employee dawdled over locking up display and walked away totally ignoring me. I walked over to another employee and told her what happened. He heard me tell her but he made no comment. Calling mgr did no good. They have no onsite mgr. My purchase was going to be $500 but due to the ignorant employee I left and took my business elsewhere. Ace stores are the best. I won't go back to H.D.

Stopped by to return some items. Quick and easy returns. So much Christmas decor already. It's only Halloween in a few days. The balsam and fir trees look quite real, from afar.

Lumber: A couple of recent experiences. I have had better from HD in the past. I went in to pickup PT 2x6x8's. there were "picked through/less than standard" pieces on the pallet. A fresh pallet above and bound. After tracking someone down he called for another associate to meet me in the aisle. 10 minutes later the associate arrives and says, ok but it'll take some time to get someone with a forklift, etc.. 30+ minutes longer I see a fork lift show up.. but no movement to the pallet yet. I decided to check out some other items, 10-15 minutes go by, I return to find the pallet on the ground but, the bindings still intact.. track down another associate.. get them cut... I left the store after being there well over an hour and a half.. Take away: don't expect things to be readily available even though the online portal says they are. Call or expect to wait. Second recent experience: Ordered T1-11 siding online, hoping to get some assistance when I go to pick it up. After showing up, the pick up dept. associate says, it'll take a little while because it's in the lumber area... My reaction is, ok that's some extra walking- no problem. I waited 20 min., walked back toward the lumber area where orders are usually sitting. There it was just sitting there or at least, that's what it looked like. The problem was that one of the sheets of T1-11 siding was thinner than the others... I walked back up, tempted to just cancel this order and leave. As I got out to my vehicle, I see two associated wheeling that very order to my vehicle... I looked over the two sheets that were the right size and tell them the other isn't correct. One of them takes it and returns with the right size however they are dragging it on the ground, leaving a knarled up edge. Take away: Should've loaded up my own materials on this run. I know staffing is short or maybe the standards are falling short these days. Service can always be worse, unfortunately.

Most of the time we've been satisfied with Home Depot. The 3 star rating is a result of our latest but very frustrating experience with them. We ordered an above range microwave to be delivered yesterday (14 Jul 21) and installed. Without notice they stood us up, after clearing our schedule to be there for them. They then rescheduled us 2 weeks later. We should be at the top of their list if they were supposed to deliver but didn't. I talked with the call center for this delivery service. Although it is part of the same company, the call center is absolutely isolated from the warehouse and scheduling people. They won't answer their phones from the call center. One must email. If you're lucky there'll be an answer 24 hours later. No one can talk with the people running the deliveries. ORDERING DELIVERY FROM HOME DEPOT IS VERY RISKY. If something goes wrong, you have no available remedy.
