I had a great experience thanks to my great salesperson Elizabeth Carr! If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, kind, low pressure salesperson this is who you need to see. She worked me the best deal I could find compared to other dealers I looked at, including out of state ones. I didn’t end up buying from her as I got employee discount elsewhere but I wanted to buy a VW just because of her. I have worked with a lot of salespeople and she was a breath of fresh air. One of those experiences that make you want to go leave a review bc of the shockingly good help. The dealer was very nice as well!

As someone who has purchased many vehicles and visited many dealerships in my lifetime, I was not at all impressed with my experience at Fox VW in Rochester.
I accompanied a family member to purchase a new SUV a day or so after he took a preliminary look and met with Dan Colangelo.
When we arrived at the dealership we saw Dan C was finishing with another customer and politely waited to exchange greetings. Dan advised that he would be with us momentarily as he first had to take care of something. We were a bit shocked as we then witnessed him through the showroom floor windows taking a smoke break.
We endured the odor of cigarette smoke while in close proximity within the confines of his office as we were anxious to test drive and take a closer look at the vehicle, additionally the dealership appeared to be slow that day with limited staff available, so decided to continue working with Dan C.
After completing the test drive my family member made the decision to purchase.
Dan took a few minutes to consult with his sales manager as we went back & forth a couple of times regarding pricing as to be expected.
Dan ultimately presented us with a buyers order but advised that we would not be able purchase the vehicle, rather we would need to wait a couple days for the dealership 'to process a purchase.'
We left the dealership with the buyers order in hand.
A few days later my family member returned without me to finalize the purchase and drive home the vehicle.
When my family member met again with Dan C, he was presented with a new buyers order, reflecting a higher price than the original buyers order. Dan C advised that he 'mis- calculated' the original figures.
At this juncture, with increasing angst, my family member decided not to visit another dealership, rather to move forward and purchase. He urgently needed a vehicle, and simply liked the trim level, wheels & exterior & interior color combination on the SUV he had chosen.
The reminder of the purchasing encounter was completed without any additional issues.
A few weeks after driving and enjoying the vehicle, my family member received a follow up call from Dan C asking for a 5 star review!
Overall, not a good experience and cannot recommend this dealership to others!

First time owning a VW, first service visit. I made an appt for an oil change/tire rotation a week in advance. Gave the girl all of my information. I drove the 35 min to the appt, get there and they have no record of the appointment but tell me they can still "fit it in", it will be a little longer than usual, after waiting for almost 2 hours walked out for a time update and my car was sitting there all done sandwiched in between other cars obviously not just completed. Asked service rep how long it had been there, he said 5 min or more he was just coming to get me. Sure. Came to this location instead of Troy because of the bad reviews at Troy, looks like I'll give them a chance in the future instead.

This service department is the worse I’ve ever come across. If you don’t come to the service desk with a picture of your issue, they’ll just idle your vehicle for two days and tell you nothings wrong with it. They are trained to carry preconceived notions of all their customers that they’re either showing up to waste time or don’t actually have a problem, and are lying about the issues they have just to waste the technicians time. They have a very low bar for customer experience and customer satisfaction. The issue is they are the ones who lie and project that to everyone else. I asked for the service manager and they brought a random dude named Sam who claimed he was the service manager when in reality, Mike is the service manager. It’s a clown show over there, they have no integrity or respect for themselves and unfortunately that trickles down to the customers.

Customer service is amazing here. I absolutely love the environment at Fox Volkswagen. Purchased my second lease from Rolf and he found me a fantastic deal on my new lease. Always takes care of me, he’s honest and never makes you feel like you are being pushed in a direction that benefits them. Rolf is the best and a stand up guy. 10/10 recommend purchasing a VW at Fox

I gave you my VIN number and still the part you ordered did not fit and still somehow it was my problem and I ended up having to pay a restocking fee. Last time I go into a VW dealer
