“This place is AMAZING! Walking into this bar is like walking into yesteryear. From the vintage cash register to the antique bar, the Cook Hotel bar is a blast from the past and a pleasant change of pace. Our bartender, Christina, was friendly, funny, and all about great service. Make no mistake: this place is not fancy. They have a basic beer selection (bottles & cans), serve their wine from boxes, and don’t offer any food. But they do have a full selection of liquor and you can order a fabulous pizza from Tivoli’s (across the street), have it delivered, and eat it in the bar. If you ever find yourself in Richmond, definitely check the Cook Hotel bar out! You’ll be glad you did!”

“We stayed here to attend and photograph a wedding at another venue 20 minutes away. Friday night was quite rough as we had a kids hockey team that would not quiet down (not sure where the parents were as these were young kiddos). We should have called the front desk but did not even think to do that because we were so exhausted. I ended up mentioning to the front desk the next morning and Saturday night was much quieter, so thank you to whomever took care of this! The staff were all kind and friendly and very appreciated. House keeping Supervisor was understanding and helped us immediately…it was all just so impressive!! The complimentary breakfast was fantastic especially with it being in a separate room…very nice! I have to say that this was a very nice Holiday Inn Express.”
