With all the big box and online pet stores, it's nice to be able to go in, have a conversation with someone who is knowledgeable about their products, not be rushed and pay a fair price. “My partner and I disagree on how we wants our dogs hair cut. I like it shorter and she likes it longer. Brooke, the very sweet person who groomed our dog, was amazing. She listened to the situation and was able to come up with a hair cut that worked for both of us and he turned out amazing. He's adorable with long scraggly hair but there is nothing like an amazingly blended/trimmed up hair cut to make a dog feel like a prince. Thanks again Brooke! You crushed it!”
“I recently visited the store to pick up some dog food, and I had a fantastic experience thanks to the helpful employee. She thoroughly explained the benefits of a particular dog food, making me feel more knowledgeable about what I was feeding my dog. She even went above and beyond by offering me a can of pumpkin to help with the transition to the new food. Her generosity and warm approach made me feel welcome and eager to return. I truly enjoyed chatting with her and appreciated her expertise!”

“Tolonen Family Pet shop has truly become a part of our daily life. As soon as we hit downtown Farmington my dog knows exactly where she’s going haha. Definitely Doggy Approved! ⭐️ The shop has become like an extension of our family. We go in daily- if not for products then for visits as I work with my dog, Daisy, walking her around/training. Our dog is almost 8 months now and the shop has been with us every step of the way since we got her at 8 weeks. I met Morgan (The Dog Lady) there- our trainer and now just a great friend! We know many of the employees and they treat us so so well. They love my rambunctious and curious 5 year old as much as they love my dog and for that I’m so grateful! ? We are so thankful to have this walkable place so close to home! They are so knowledgeable as far as any pet product you could possibly need- from food, to grooming, to training and even pack walks, we would have been lost without them! Words can’t express how much we love this place! It’s brought us lot of joy, it’s just a wonderful, wonderful place! ?? ”

“Filthy Beast is our go to shampoo for dogs! Its high concentrate makes it last a long time! Their dog perfume is top notch! In my opinion their customer service for kennels and groomer is amazing! “Love, love, LOVE Hometown Pets! My GSD puppy struggled with allergies so severe that he not only was losing hair, he was also losing weight rapidly. I found a very slim selection of dog food that my puppy was able to eat, however I couldn't find a store that carried it. I called Hometown Pets, spoke with the owner - explained my dogs allergy situation and asked her to order me a very particular brand of dog food, she ordered it that same week, had that very next week - I now get all of my pet supplies from Hometown Pets. Although I have to admit, if you go into the store - go in with a blindfold because she ALWAYS has sales going and they're ALWAYS too good to walk away from.”
“I’ve had a handful of orders from Cherry Corals over the years and they never fail to impress. Everything from Zoanthids to Acropora always arrive healthy, colorful and start growing immediately. Most of the acros I receive from them hit the ground running and start growing right away. Have no reservations when ordering from Cherry!”
“Well, I guess I can't make them 5* only because of the confusion and unavailability of our specific dog food - and because they'd recommended this food to us.
But, the staff at the store was very friendly and helpful as always, and they did check all around the metro area to see if other stores had what I needed. We use Premier because they're a local business and they are so customer-centric.”

“Words can not express how happy I am to have a "true" and "valued" True Value near me. I have a couple of other locations closer. But this shop takes the cake. Screen Doors done in house and a commitment to understanding what thier customers need and not looking to over sell what they don't need.
Randy is amazing and totally helped me with a mini project. My idea would of cost be a bunch in parts and have me doing a bunch of labor and not sure I could of even done it.
Randy's idea was about 10$ out the door. Customer for life.
