The Family Dollar/Dollar General is on the north side of Reading, MI, on the west side of M49 across the road from the Dollar General. It is a much nicer store than the DG. We visited in June 2024, and the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree was much cleaner and brighter, and generally a much better experience than Dollar General, which is older and dirty.

UPDATE March 20, 2024The original low prices have gone away but the store employees and the quality of their work has not faltered, employees do a consistent high quality job - courteous, friendly and highly effective in the day to day operation of this fine establishment. I must give a shoutout to all of their internal operational employees. Seldom does such pride of the job show through as in this fine store. Shelves full, floors swept and shined and outside areas spotless.The one negative is they did not pay for auto open/close doors. This will lead to a door being damaged not to mention a great deal of customer and employee difficulty an frustration.Review from Four Months Earlier:I hope the can maintain their current standards. Very nice, well organized store with a decent food selection.I was surprised by how nice it was as I did not expect much from a Dollar store
