A nice little campground, easily accessible from Hwy 2. We didn't have a reservation but were able to get a site for the night. We had full hookups and everything worked as it should.

While there were no amenities or anything special, Whispering Valley was the perfect stop for a well along our route. The sites were large and easy to pull through and the owners were very nice. We would definitely stop here again if we’re ever coming through.

We had booked this campground as a break for our drive across the UP. The lady I spoke to on the phone was nice and helpful; the next afternoon when we arrived, my wife goes in to check in and this old man, who smoked the entire time my wife was in the office, was a complete jerk!He spoke rudely to my wife and when she told him he was being rude, he said, “ Bye then!” and wadded up the reservation and threw it in the floor. Now we know why we met another couple leaving in their rig as we’re were trying to pull in.I advise everyone to stay away from this nasty place.

Felt uncomfortable having to ask if I can use the shower cause it is looked at all times, was told it's locked cuz everyone has showers in their RVs including my RV. I had told him my water heater was out.

Should be a 1 star, but the owners have done a beautiful job of adding flowers and small gardens around the sites/park.The showers are only open from 9a-6p and this information is not on the website, fb page, or posted on the office door. This wasn't mentioned during the rsvn process or at check in. Only that we should call when we wanted to take a shower so the owners could open up the facilities. I called at 7:15p to take a shower and found out the hours when the owner, rather abruptly, told me he's closed and I can just shower in the morning. The two owners don't communicate w each other. One owner told me to do X and the other owner yelled at me for doing X.The wifi is wildly inconsistent and drops in and out. It is a pretty good speed when you're connected though. The men's bathrooms didn't have any soap or towels to dry your hands. The fire rings are rusted and jagged. The wood for sale is high quality and $1 a logDog poop scattered around some of the grassy areas.Probably not a surprise, but I will not be retuning to this park. Glad I was only here for a night.

This is an RV Park, not a hotel as Google suggests. Good location, full hookups, good value.

After calling the number on the office door, Penny (owner) greeted us upon arrival. She was extremely helpful and friendly. Gave us a tour of where the bathrooms were located and then explained that I needed to call her to use the showers, which were in the office area. (Office locked up most of the day) Kind of strange set up, but no big deal. Be prepared for a tobacco smoke smell in the office and bathrooms. It’s no big deal either, but I’m not used to that I guess.I paid a very fair price ($43/night for 3 nights) for full hook ups. We were located about 4-5 sites away from the office, and our wifi was very good. The entire campground has nice pull through sites with cool flower gardens all around. Overall the campground was quite laid back and friendly.Despite the odd shower situation and smoke odor, I would definitely stay at Whispering Valley RV Park again. 4.5 stars!

Sites are level. Website advertised wifi and showers. There are neither. Would not have reserved had I known the former not to be true. The place seems to be for seasonal stays not travelers.

Mike nd penny are the greatest. They have gone out of they're way to take care of us for the last 17 years. Thank you guys and if anybody is on US 2 heading west into rapid river stop in and buy some beets or alfalfa.

Nice convenient spot to stay for the night. Mike was very nice and gave us his cell number to call if we happened to show up when he wasn’t in the office. I give a 3 star because of the woman who called from the office and left a very snarky voicemail about when exactly we would be there. (Mike did say to call his cell if he wasn't there so not sure of the attitude) I was driving and missed the call but returned it as soon as I saw I missed it. Her attitude changed quickly when I said we were almost there and didn’t realize the time change from where we were coming from. Definitely put a sour taste in our mouth and won’t be staying there again if we happen to go that way. I’d would have gladly gave up full hook ups and camped in state land if hindsight was 20/20. ??♀️
