They close the gates at 5pm so we missed getting up close to see it but we were able to find a nearby place to view it.

Enter at the red bouy with the bell.There are 4 sets of navigation bouys that guide you into the entrance of the marina. Fuel is on A dock right at the entrance, easy. We filled up our diesel tanks.We stayed at B dock and met some really nice staff and people that slip their boats there.The marina is very quiet and clean with bathrooms and showers.There is a store across the street that is very well stocked, but that is it.

Heading north by boat from Windsor Ontario , this is the first harbour where you notice the clear blue water in this beautiful area .We toured the "haunted" lighthouse keepers house, the newer modern lighthouse and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings . The following morning we would be crossing 5o+ miles of open water of the Mackinaw Straits , so this is a nice location to prepare for your exploration of the North Channel .
