Ida Mae’s Portage Deli is a favorite destination spot open year round, located just down the road from historic lighthouses and across from Presque Isle State Harbor, with a nearby beach. It offers artisan pizza and sandwiches, gourmet fries, amazing BBQ rib dinners, and a Friday fish and shrimp fry. The food is great, with fantastic ice cream flavors like s'mores and brownie batter available at the ice cream window. The store also carries a fine selection of wine, beer, spirits, smoked fish, spread, Cherry Republic items, Fustini’s oils and vinegars, resort wear, and locally-made souvenirs. It is a great store and convenience store with friendly and helpful staff.
Owners and employees are kind and very friendly. My go to place for storage boat and for food. Love this place!
